Umm Besher residents are asking for Al-Furjan Markets

Doha: A number of residents of Umm Besher have called on stakeholders to work to provide Al-Furjan markets service in the region, especially after a large number of citizens have moved there over the past few months, as they are new areas where land has been distributed to citizens.
Stakeholders have been keen to establish an integrated infrastructure of paved streets, sanitation, a rainwater drainage system, water and electricity lines and lampposts, but shops are the only service the region lacks, forcing residents to travel a long way to Al-Wakrah or Al-Meshaf to buy their most basic goods and food needs.
They complained of the spread of construction waste in the area because some contractors had indiscriminately disposed of them in open spaces without any consideration.

الدوحة: دعا عددٌ من سكان منطقة أم بشر الجهات المعنيّة إلى العمل على توفير خدمة أسواق الفرجان في المنطقة لا سيما بعد انتقال عدد كبير من المواطنين إليها خلال الأشهر القليلة الماضية، كونها من المناطق الجديدة التي تم توزيع الأراضي فيها على المواطنين.
وقد حرصت الجهات المعنيّة على إقامة بنية تحتية متكاملة من شوارع ممهدة وصرف صحي وشبكة تصريف مياه أمطار وخطوط للمياه والكهرباء وأعمدة الإنارة، إلا أن المحلات التجاريّة هي الخدمة الوحيدة التي تقتقدها المنطقة؛ ما يُجبر السكان على قطع مسافة طويلة إلى الوكرة أو المشاف لشراء أبسط احتياجاتهم من السلع والمواد الغذائيّة.
واشتكوا من انتشار مُخلفات البناء في المنطقة بسبب قيام بعض المقاولين بالتخلص العشوائي منها في الأراضي الفضاء دون أي مُراعاة.
