Doha Metro to close temporarily on Fridays and during Eid Al-Adha holiday
إيقاف خدمات مترو الدوحة أيام الجمعة وخلال إجازة عيد الاضحى
Doha: Qatar Rail has announced today a temporary closure of the Doha Metro services during Fridays and during Eid Holidays.
Where Doha Metro services will be suspended on Fridays between July 9 and August 13 and during the Eid holidays between July 21 and 24 .
The closure comes due to an essential system upgrade across the network. The upgrade will allow to increase the network capacity, allowing more trains to operate and providing more frequent services to customers in the future.
In order to minimize the inconvenience to our customers we have chosen dates that historically carry the fewest passengers.
الدوحة: أعلنت شركة سكك الحديد القطرية (الريل)، عن إيقاف خدمات مترو الدوحة أيام الجمعة في الفترة الواقعة ما بين 9 يوليو الحالي إلى 13 أغسطس المقبل، و خلال إجازة عيد الاضحى المبارك في الفترة الواقعة ما بين 21 و 24 يوليو المقبل.
وقالت الشركة في تغريدة على حسابها بموقع تويتر إن ذلك نظرا لإجراء تحديثات رئيسية في أنظمة شبكة مترو الدوحة، بهدف رفع السعة الاستيعابية والقدرة التشغيلية للشبكة من خلال زيادة عدد القطارات والذي بدوره سيعزز الخدمة المقدمة للعملاء مستقبلاً.
كما أشارت إلى أن الشركة اختارت هذه الأيام المحددة نظراً لأنها الأيام الأقل استخداماً لوسائل النقل العام حفاظاً على راحة الجمهور والمستخدمين لخدمات مترو الدوحة.
