The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said following statement:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the council affirmed the continuation of work with regard to the precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this pandemic.

After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First – Approval of extending the work period of the committee on real estate sector development strategy to six more months.

Among the specialties of this committee is proposing a strategy for developing the real estate sector in the country, as well as the policies and the plans that must be implemented, in addition to proposing means of supporting and developing the real estate sector, proposing necessary controls for investment in this sector, and proposing the necessary incentives, mechanisms and programs to encourage and attract investment in the real estate sector in the country.

Second – Approval of a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Culture and Sports in the State of Qatar and the Minister of Culture in the Portuguese Republic, to cooperate in the field of culture.

Third – The Cabinet reviewed the following issues and took appropriate decisions in their regard:

1- A draft decision of The Cabinet to exclude checks from the negotiable commercial paper that is not subject to the Law of Electronic Transactions and Commerce issued within Decree Law no. 16 of 2010.

2- The results of the Global Forum of Food and Agriculture and the 13th Agriculture Ministers’ Conference (January 2021 via videoconferencing).

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس ظهر اليوم بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع، أدلى سعادة الدكتور عيسى بن سعد الجفالي النعيمي، وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي:

في بداية الاجتماع استمع مجلس الوزراء إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/،وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

أولا – الموافقة على تمديد مدة عمل اللجنة المعنية باستراتيجية تنمية القطاع العقاري إلى ستة أشهر أخرى.

ومن بين اختصاصات هذه اللجنة، اقتراح استراتيجية تنمية القطاع العقاري في الدولة والسياسات والخطط اللازمة لتنفيذها، واقتراح وسائل دعم

وتطوير القطاع العقاري، واقتراح الضوابط اللازمة للاستثمار في هذا القطاع، واقتراح الحوافز والآليات والبرامج اللازمة لتشجيع وجذب الاستثمار في القطاع العقاري في الدولة.

ثانيا – الموافقة على مشروع مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة الثقافة والرياضة في دولة قطر ووزير الثقافة في الجمهورية البرتغالية للتعاون في مجال الثقافة.

ثالثا – استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعين التاليين واتخذ بشأنهما القرار المناسب:

1 – مشروع قرار مجلس الوزراء باستثناء الشيك من الأوراق التجارية القابلة للتداول التي لا يسري عليها قانون المعاملات والتجارة الإلكترونية الصادر بالمرسوم بقانون رقم (16) لسنة 2010.

2 – نتائج المنتدى العالمي للأغذية والزراعة، ومؤتمر وزراء الزراعة الثالث عشر (يناير 2021 عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي).
