MOI recommends the maintenance of suction fans to avoid fires

In a tweet on the social networking site “Twitter”, the Interior Ministry called for the maintenance and cleaning of suction fans and not to run them continuously, considering the operation one of the most important fire safety factors.

Concerned authorities stress the need to take precautions, especially during the summer period of frequent house fires. Any overloading on electricity especially air conditioning and because everyone watches TV and playstation and charges mobiles and iPads and this increases the pressure on electrical connections even if they are good.

With regard to air conditioning, which is increasingly used in the summer period, it is necessary to follow the correct method of turning off the air conditioning, and the importance of closing it from the main piston after the remote, and the round-the-clock use of televisionsets may cause fires to break out.

Experts emphasize the existence of 3 sides of the fire “fire triangle” and consists of heat, oxygen and flammable material and if the three meet, fire break out, explaining that the powder extinguisher is used for all types of fire but must evacuate the place if it is closed but if the place is open, the extinguisher must be used with the direction of the wind.

It is also advised to call 999 emergency services in case of feeling anything suspicious that may cause a fire, stressing the importance of the responsibility of parents and adult children in the home to prevent the outbreak of fires.

دعت الداخلية في تغريدة لها على موقع التواصل الإجتماعي “تويتر ” إلى صيانة وتنظيف مراوح الشفط وعدم تشغيلها باستمرار، معتبرة العملية من أهم عوامل السلامة من الحرائق.

وتؤكد الجهات المعنية على ضرورة أخذ الحيطة خاصة في فترة الصيف التي تكثر فيها الحرائق بالمنازل. ويعد أي ضغط زائد على الكهرباء خاصة التكييف وبسبب أن الكل يشاهد التلفاز والبلاستيشن ويقوم بشحن الجوالات والآيباد وها يؤدي إلى زيادة الضغط على الوصلات الكهربائية حتى ولو كانت جيدة.

وبشأن التكييفات التي يزيد استخدامها في فترة الصيف، من الضروري اتباع الطريقة الصحيحة لإطفاء التكييف، و اهمية إغلاقه من المكبس الرئيسي بعد الريموت، كما ان الاستعمال على مدار الساعة لأجهزة التلفزيون قد تتسب في اندلاع الحرائق

ويؤكد الخبراء على وجود 3 أضلاع للحريق “مثلث الحريق” ويتكون من حرارة وأكسجين ومادة قابل للاشتعال وإذا اجتمع الثلاثة تكون الحريق، موضحاً أن طفاية البودرة تُتستخدم لجميع أنواع الحرائق ولكن يجب إخلاء المكان إذا كان مغلقاً أما إذا كان المكان مكشوف لابد أن يتم استخدامها مع اتجاه الرياح.

كما ينصح نصح بالاتصال بخدمة الطوارئ 999 في حال الشعور بأي شيء مريب قد يسبب حريقاً، مؤكداً على أهمية مسؤولية أولياء الأمور والأبناء الكبار في المنزل للوقاية من اندلاع الحرائق.
