QIB Launches New Features on Its Mobile App

Doha: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) announced the introduction of new features to its Mobile App, further empowering its customers to instantly manage and control their credit and charge cards through the app and fulfill their daily banking needs remotely.

Developed with customers banking needs in mind, the QIB Mobile App now allows them to benefit from new advanced features, including a real time display of credit card transactions status and the instant activation of their Credit Shield Takaful plan.

Customers can now easily see their credit card transactions status – outstanding, matched, dropped, cancelled or reversed – on the transaction overview screen. Visa credit cardholders have full control over their cards through the app including the ability to activate or deactivate the card or specific functionalities of their cards such as online transactions, POS transactions, ATM withdrawals, international transactions and magnetic stripe use. In addition, they can get real time information on foreign currency conversion rates and change their PIN at any time. This unique capabilities offer a high level of personalization as well as maximum security to the cardholders.

QIB customers can also get Credit Shield Takaful coverage on the outstanding balance of their credit card to protect themselves against not being able to settle it due to any future unforeseen events. With this new service, customers can activate the Takaful plan on their chosen card through the app at a nominal monthly fee automatically deducted from the credit card balance.

QIB has also launched the Instant Credit Card service that is available through the mobile app. The innovative service, which is a first-of-its-kind in Qatar, offers pre-approved QIB customers the opportunity to instantly apply, get approval and receive a credit card tailored to their specific needs.

الدوحة: أعلن مصرف قطر الإسلامي /المصرف/، عن إطلاقه عددا من الخدمات الجديدة عبر تطبيق جوال المصرف ليتمكن العملاء من الإدارة الفورية لبطاقات السحب الآجل والبطاقات الائتمانية، والقيام بكافة معاملاتهم المصرفية عن بعد.

ويسمح التحديث الجديد عبر هذا التطبيق للعملاء بالاستفادة من خدمات جديدة ومتطورة، مثل الاطلاع بسهولة على الحالة الفورية لعمليات البطاقات الائتمانية الخاصة بهم ، بما في ذلك الاطلاع على حالة العمليات غير المنفذة بعد، والمقبولة، والملغية، أو التحويلات العكسية من خلال شاشة خاصة بحالة التحويلات.

وسيسمح التحديث ايضا بالتفعيل الفوري لبرنامج الدرع الائتماني للتكافل على البطاقات الائتمانية، وذلك من أجل تغطية الرصيد المتبقي على هذه البطاقة للعملاء وحماية أنفسهم من عدم القدرة على سداد رصيد البطاقة في حال وقوع أي حادث.. كما تسمح هذه الخدمة الجديدة لهم من تفعيل برنامج الدرع على البطاقة الائتمانية التي يختارونها عبر تطبيق الجوال وبرسوم شهرية رمزية يتم خصمها تلقائيا من رصيد البطاقة.

كما يمكن للعملاء الحاملين لبطاقات /فيزا/ الائتمانية التحكم الكامل في بطاقاتهم من خلال تطبيق جوال المصرف، بما في ذلك تفعيل وإلغاء تفعيل البطاقة الائتمانية بشكل كامل، أو تفعيل وإلغاء تفعيل خصائص محددة في البطاقة، مثل العمليات الإلكترونية، العمليات عبر أجهزة نقاط الدفع، السحب عبر أجهزة الصراف الآلي، الاستخدام الدولي، وتفعيل خاصية الشريط الممغنط الخاص بالبطاقة.

ويمكن للعملاء أيضا الاطلاع على الأسعار الفورية لصرف العملات الأجنبية، وتغيير الرمز السري الخاص ببطاقاتهم في أي وقت.

كما أطلق المصرف خدمة “البطاقة الائتمانية الفورية” من خلال التطبيق، وهذه الخدمة المبتكرة والأولى من نوعها في دولة قطر، حيث ستمكن العملاء المؤهلين التقدم بطلب البطاقة التي تناسبهم، والحصول على موافقة فورية ومن ثم استلام البطاقات الائتمانية.
