Doha: The members of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), in a meeting Wednesday, elected HE Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah as Chairman of the NHRC.
HE newly-elected Chairman of the NHRC, Maryam Al Attiyah stressed to work for the continuity of this great legacy and following an approach that ensures the stability of the NHRC at the top among its counterparts in the world and aspiration to achieve more human rights achievements.
She pointed out that chairing the NHRC is a great trust that requires cooperation between all state institutions to ensure the advancement of human dignity in Qatar.
Al Attiyah said that she will make the greatest effort and harness the utmost energies to assume this national and humanitarian responsibility.

الدوحة: انتخب أعضاء اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان، في اجتماع لهم يوم الأمس، سعادة السيدة مريم بنت عبدالله العطية رئيسا للجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان .
و أكدت سعادة السيدة مريم العطية رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان ، على العمل لاستمرارية هذا الإرث الكبير ووفق منهجٍ يضمن ثبات اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان على القمة بين نظيراتها في العالم والتطلع لتحقيق المزيد من الإنجازات الحقوقية.
وأشارت إلى أن منصب رئاسة اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان أمانة كبيرة تتطلب التعاون بين جميع مؤسسات الدولة لضمان الارتقاء بالكرامة الإنسانية في قطر.
وقالت: “سنبذل من الجهد أوسعه وسنسخر طاقاتنا القصوى لتحمل هذه المسؤولية الوطنية والإنسانية”.
