Katara Jazz Festival kicks off next month

From November 3 to 6, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) will launch the seventh edition of the Katara European Jazz Festival, with the participation of France, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Greece. The performances take place on Katara’s waterfront and begin with the French show.
The performances are held daily with two to three bands, performing their rhythms and songs, a collection of contemporary and classical European jazz masterpieces, as well as musical segments that combine different jazz genres, with all the sophistication, diversity and dazzle of this artistic event, with the participation of some of Europe’s most skilled musicians and performers.
Over the past editions, in addition to the upcoming version, this event has established Katara’s place in the cultural and artistic scene, as the festival is witnessing remarkable turnout from music lovers, with the public enjoying arts and musical creations that go beyond barriers and boundaries, speaking in one language that everyone understands, and creating a valuable opportunity for dialogue, tolerance and understanding between societies, reflecting the role of music in bringing peoples closer together and opening cultures.
The festival embodies the growing cultural partnership between Qatar and the countries of the European continent, as well as its activation of cultural communication, the promotion of cognitive transit, and the opening of windows of arts, creativity and brilliance, creating an art painting, which forms the colors of European culture in all its directions.
The festival is described as a message of friendship and peace among peoples, for its role in promoting human communication between different countries and spreading the values of good, tolerance and cooperation, as well as reflecting Katara’s role in embracing the arts and nurturing creativity in its various forms.

تطلق المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي (كتارا)، خلال الفترة من 3 إلى 6 نوفمبر المقبل، النسخة السابعة من مهرجان كتارا الأوروبي للجاز، بمشاركة دول فرنسا، وسويسرا، وبلجيكا، وإيطاليا، والنمسا، وألمانيا، وهنغاريا، وإسبانيا، والبرتغال، وبولندا، واليونان. وتقام العروض على الواجهة البحرية لـ “كتارا”، وتبدأ بالعرض الفرنسي.
وتقام العروض يوميًا بواقع فرقتين إلى ثلاث فرق، تقدم إيقاعاتها ومعزوفاتها الفنية، وباقة من روائع موسيقى الجاز الأوروبي المعاصرة والكلاسيكية، بالإضافة إلى تقديم فقرات موسيقية تدمج بين أنواع موسيقى الجاز المختلفة، بكل ما يحمله هذا الحدث الفني من رقي وتنوع وإبهار، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من أمهر العازفين والموسيقيين في أوروبا.
وترسخ هذه الفعالية على مدى دوراتها الماضية، بالإضافة إلى النسخة المرتقبة، مكانة (كتارا) في المشهد الثقافي والفني، إذ أصبح المهرجان يحظى بحضور لافت في أوساط أصحاب الذائقة الفنية، حيث يستمتع الجمهور بفنون وإبداعات موسيقية، تتجاوز الحواجز والحدود، كونها تتحدث بلغة واحدة يفهمها الجميع، وتخلق فرصة قيمة للتحاور والتسامح والتفاهم بين المجتمعات، ما يعكس دور الموسيقى في التقريب بين الشعوب وانفتاح الثقافات.
ويجسد المهرجان الشراكة الثقافية المتنامية بين دولة قطر ودول القارة الأوروبية، علاوة على ما يعكسه من تفعيل للتواصل الثقافي وتعزيز العبور المعرفي، وفتح نوافذ من الفنون والإبداع والتألق، مجسدًا لوحة فنية، تتشكل منها ألوان الثقافة الأوروبية بمختلف اتجاهاتها.
ويوصف المهرجان بأنه رسالة صداقة وسلام بين الشعوب، لدوره في تعزيز التواصل الإنساني بين البلدان المختلفة ونشر قيم الخير والتسامح والتعاون، علاوة على تجسيده لدور (كتارا) في احتضانها للفنون ورعايتها للإبداع بأشكاله المختلفة.
