الفيفا يستشير مدربي المنتخبات الوطنية بشأن إقامة كأس العالم كل عامين

Zurich: FIFA announced on Monday that it will consult with the coaches of the men’s national teams this week on a “potential new competition schedule” that could include the holding of the World Cup every two years.
Coaches will be invited to participate in teleconferences (video conference) on Tuesday and Thursday, by Arsene Wenger, head of the sports development system at “FIFA”.
“Their contribution is essential as coaches of the national teams,” said Wenger, the former Arsenal coach.
He added: “The opportunities that bring us together are few and far between, but we must take advantage of these occasions because such dialogue helps us all to protect the unique place that football occupies in the world, and to make it truly global.”
A FIFA advisory group led by Wenger had recently proposed holding the World Cup every two years, starting from 2028, and that the continental tournaments would be held in the intervening years.
These proposals were met with strong opposition by many, including the European Federation “UEFA” and the South American Football Association “CONMEBOL”.
The International Olympic Committee has also raised concerns about the impact on other sports and has called for broader consultations on FIFAs plans.

وكانت مجموعة استشارية بالفيفا يقودها فينجر قد اقترحت مؤخرا إقامة كأس العالم كل عامين اعتبارا من 2028 على أن تقام البطولات القارية في الأعوام الفاصلة بينها، وقوبلت تلك الاقتراحات باعتراض شديدة من جانب الكثيرين، ومن بينها اتحادا أوروبا (يويفا) وأمريكا الجنوبية (كونميبول) لكرة القدم.
كذلك أبدت اللجنة الأولمبية الدولية مخاوف من تأثير ذلك على الرياضات الأخرى ودعت إلى مشاورات على نطاق أوسع بشأن خطط الفيفا.
