Doha: Participants in al-Raya’s Instagram poll on the best practical solutions to eliminating traffic jams have put forward many ideas that can be applied, and others that call for a long-term plan.
The proposals included promoting the use of metro service by employees and university students, encouraging school students to use school buses, accelerate road projects, establishing tunnels or small bridges in light signal areas to maintain traffic flow, and expanding the establishment of emergency parking for all tracks on bridges, tunnels or public streets.
Some suggested encouraging workers to leave early for work rather than leaving late, setting time to complete excavations, setting fines for delays on companies, and approving rotational shifts in some facilities so that staff work in the morning, others in the evening and other in the afternoon.
Some felt it important to limit the number of cars per family and to divide leaving dates of government employees to be successively rather than the current system.

الدوحة: طرحَ مُشاركون في استطلاع الرأي الذي طرحته الراية على موقع التّواصل الاجتماعي «إنستجرام» حول أفضل الحلول العمليّة للقضاء على الزحام المروري، العديدَ من الأفكار التي يمكن تطبيقها، وأخرى تستدعي خُطة طويلة المدى.
وتضمنت المقترحات تعزيز استخدام خدمة المترو من قبل الموظفين وطلبة الجامعات، وتشجيع طلاب المدارس على استخدام الحافلات المدرسية، وتشريع وتيرة إنجاز مشروعات الطرق، وإنشاء أنفاق أو جسور صغيرة في أماكن الإشارات الضوئيّة للحفاظ على انسيابية الحركة المرورية، والتوسّع في إنشاء مواقف للطوارئ لجميع المسارات في الجسور أو الأنفاق أو الشوارع العامة.
واقترح البعضُ تشجيع العاملين للخروج مبكرًا لدوائر أعمالهم بدلًا من الخروج متأخرين، وتحديد وقت للانتهاء من الحفريات، ووضع غرامات للتأخير على الشركات، وإقرار الدوام التناوبي في بعض الجهات بحيث يعمل موظّفون في الفترة الصباحية، وآخرون في الفترة المسائية وموظفون آخرون في أوقات بعد الظهيرة.
ورأى البعض أهمية تحديد عدد السيارات لكل عائلة، وتقسيم مواعيد خروج موظّفي الجهات الحكومية لتكون بالتتابع بدلًا من النظام المُتبع حاليًا.
