Hyundai’s Hybrid cars join Qatar’s limousine service fleet

Doha: Skyline Automotive, the official distribution partner of the Hyundai Motor Company and its luxury brand Genesis for Qatar, has delivered a fleet of Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid cars to Pick Me Up Limousine company in Qatar, making the first Limousine company to adopt eco-friendly vehicles for its customers in Qatar.

This step falls in line with both companies’ commitment to the Environmental Pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030 which aims to reduce fuel emissions and increase efficiency. With the world’s increasing focus on reducing fuel emissions, and more automobile companies paving the way for hybrid and electric cars, customers are now opting to choose hybrid vehicles for their personal and professional needs. As is the case with the Limousine industry.

Thanks to its eco-friendly features, Hyundai’s IONIQ car has gained increasing popularity over the past few years in Qatar and elsewhere. Most recently, the Hyundai IONIQ became the first electric car to become part of Queensland’s government QFleet, as the Australian state has been increasingly heading towards a zero-carbon future.

The Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid also has satellite navigation, state-of-the-art safety features and is cost-effective offering long mileage. These features led the IONIQ Hybrid to be named the ‘Best Hybrid Car’ at the Qatar Car Awards 2018.

Speaking about the delivery of the cars to Doha, Bernhard Dolinek, Managing Director of Automotive at Jaidah Group, remarked: “We’re happy with our new partnership with Pick Me Up Limousine company in Qatar. The Pick Me Up Limousine company has earned a reputation for quality performance, and we’re proud to know the Hyundai IONIQ has been selected as the vehicle of choice for one of Qatar’s top limousine providers.”

The IONIQ Electric and Kona are now available in the international market, and we’re looking forward to introducing them in Qatar.”

قامت شركة سكايلاين للسيارات، الموزع الرسمي لهيونداي موتور وعلامتها الفاخرة جينيسيس في قطر، بتزويد شركة خدمات الليموزين “Pick Me Up” بأسطول من سيارات أيونيك الهجينة، لتصبح بذلك أول شركة متخصصة في تقديم خدمات الليموزين في قطر استخدامًا للسيارات الصديقة للبيئة.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة انسجامًا مع التزام الشركتين بالمساهمة في تحقيق الأهداف البيئية المنصوص عليها في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 والمتمثلة في خفض انبعاثات الكربون.

ومع زيادة الاهتمام العالمي بالحد من الانبعاثات الكربونية، وتوجه المزيد من الشركات نحو إنتاج السيارات الصديقة للبيئة، زاد إقبال العملاء على اقتناء السيارات الهجينة، وهو نفس الحال مع شركات خدمات الليموزين التي صارت تتجه هي الأخرى لتزويد أساطيلها بالسيارات الهجينة.

وتتمتع سيارة هيونداي “أيونيك” بالعديد من الخصائص الصديقة للبيئة، ما أكسبها شعبية متزايدة خلال الأعوام القليلة الماضية في قطر وغيرها من البلدان. ومؤخرًا، أصبحت سيارة هيونداي أيونيك أول سيارة كهربائية تدخل ضمن أسطول السيارات الحكومي لولاية كوينزلاند الأسترالية في ظل اهتمام استراليا المتزايد ببناء مستقبل خالٍ من الانبعاثات الكربونية.
