MOECC Extends Camping Period till April 29, in Sealine and Al Udayd till May 20

Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, represented by the Ministry’s Winter Camping Affairs Committee, has extended the camping period for the current season until April 29, instead of April 1, in the northern and central regions of the country.
The ministry also decided to extend camping in the areas of Sealine and Al Udayd until May 20.
The decision to extend camping in Sealine and Al Udeid comes for an additional period compared to the rest of the regions due to the delay in camping in them to host a number of heritage events, which introduces visitors to the Qatari and cultural environment during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as the camping began in these two areas late, and the Ministry decided to compensate camp owners by delaying the end of camping there.
The ministry called on the camp owners to preserve the gardens and reserves, stressing the importance of everyone’s commitment to the Ministry’s instructions during the end of camping, by not leaving waste inside the reserves, and collect it in the places specified by the Ministry.
Cars must abide by the natural paths set by the authorities, and not run over trees and plants, it added.

الدوحة: مددت وزارة البيئة والتغير المناخي، ممثلة في لجنة تنظيم شؤون التخييم الشتوي بالوزارة، فترة التخييم للموسم الحالي حتى تاريخ 29 أبريل المقبل بالمناطق الشمالية والوسطى للدولة، بدلًا من الأول من أبريل.
كما قررت الوزارة تمديد التخييم في منطقتيّ سيلين والعديد، حتى تاريخ 20 مايو المقبل .
ويأتي قرار تمديد التخييم بسيلين والعديد لمدة إضافية عن باقي المناطق بسبب تأخير التخييم فيهما لاستضافة عدد من الفعاليات التراثية التي تعرف الزوار بالبيئة القطرية والثقافية وما تحتضنها أثناء بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 حيث بدأ التخييم في هاتين المنطقتين (متأخرا) وقد رأت الوزارة تعويض أصحاب المخيمات بتأخير إنهاء التخييم فيهما .
وطالبت الوزارة أصحاب المخيمات بضرورة عودة الروض والمحميات إلى حالتها الطبيعية قبل إنهاء عمليات التخييم، مشددة على أهمية التزام الجميع بتعليمات الوزارة أثناء إنهاء التخييم، وذلك من خلال عدم ترك مخلفات داخل المحميات، وجمعها في الأماكن المحددة من قبل الوزارة لتجميع المخلفات، وكذلك التزام السيارات للمسارات الطبيعية التي حددتها الجهات المسؤولة، وعدم دهس منابت الأشجار والنباتات.
