Ashghal opens road connecting QU metro

Doha: Ashghal has announced it has completed works on a new road connecting Qatar University Metro Station and the school’s entrances to Al Tarfa Intersection (known as Golf Intersection).
This will strengthen the interconnection between the road and rail networks and enhance traffic flow around the campus, Asghal tweeted yesterday.
Completed works included the provision of street lighting systems, road marking & signs, and stormwater and irrigation lines. A 2.5-km shared pedestrian and cycle path with 151 trees and 7,000 sqm of green areas were provided to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

الدوحة: أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة” أشغال” إنجاز طريق جديد لربط محطة مترو ومداخل جامعة قطر بتقاطع الطرفة (المعروف بتقاطع نادي الغولف) وذلك في سياق تعزيز الترابط بين شبكة الطرق وشبكة الريل وتسهيل حركة المرور حول الحرم الجامعي.
وتضمنت الأعمال توفير أنظمة الإنارة والعلامات الأرضية واللوحات المرورية إلى جانب توفير خطوط تصريف مياه الأمطار وخطوط مياه الري. وللتشجيع على نمط حياة صحي، تم توفير مسار مشترك للمشاة والدراجات الهوائية بطول 2.5 كم وزراعة 151 شجرة وتوفير 7 آلاف متر مربع من المساحات الخضراء وفقا لحساب الهيئة على تويتر.
