Falcons from different countries of the world in Souq Waqif

Doha: The falcon market stores located within Souq Waqif for the current season have prepared to provide various types of falcons from several countries, most notably Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Germany, Spain, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Russia and Belarus, where the facilities provided by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment have facilitated their entry processes, especially since the procedures for extracting the import permit need only a week after the shop meets the full requirements required to submit the application and a statement of approval issued by the Department of Protection and Wildlife and conducting Laboratory examinations from the country of import and delivery of the license to the customs broker.

The shopkeepers confirmed to Al Raya that the falcons available in the market vary from “hatching” falcons produced in private farms and «wild» falcons are hunted by people who are specialised in hunting them, and this type is characterized by its strength and experience in hunting, since it lived in its original environment for months or years, pointing out that most of the “wild” falcons that are in the process of arriving from their countries are often sold before they reach the country.

They pointed out that the prices of «wild» falcons range from 5 thousand riyals to 1.5 million riyals, and the falcons caught from Mongolia are the highest price of all types, due to their enjoyment of aesthetic specifications different from the rest of the species in addition to its high physical capacity as well, pointing out that the cheapest types of «wild» falcons are imported from Iran and sold at low prices although they have high specifications, where they are obtained from the source at a low price.

الدوحة: استعدّت محلات سوق الصقور الواقعة ضمن سوق واقف للموسم الحالي بتوفير أنواع مُختلفة من الصقور من عدة دول أبرزها الأردن وسوريا والعرق وإيران وألمانيا وإسبانيا وكازاخستان وطاجيكستان وتركمانستان ومنغوليا وروسيا وبيلاروسيا، حيث ساهمت التسهيلات التي تقدّمها وزارة البلدية والبيئة في تسهيل عمليات دخولها، لا سيما أن إجراءات استخراج تصريح الاستيراد تحتاج أسبوعًا فقط بعد أن يستوفي المحل كامل الشروط المطلوبة من تقديم الطلب وإفادة بالموافقة صادرة من إدارة الحماية والحياة الفطريّة (سايتس) وعمل الفحوصات المخبريّة من بلد الاستيراد وتسليم الرخصة للمُخلص الجمركي.

وأكد أصحاب المحلات لـ الراية أن الصقور المتوفرة في السوق تتنوّع بين صقور «تفريخ» يتم إنتاجها في مزارع خاصّة وصقور «الوحش» يتم اصطيادها من قِبل أشخاص يمتهنون صيدها، ويتميّز هذا النوع بقوته وخبرته في الصيد، نظرًا لأنه عاش في بيئته الأصلية لعدة أشهر أو سنوات، مُشيرين إلى أن معظم صقور «الوحش» التي في طور الوصول من بلدانها غالبًا ما تكون مباعة قبل وصولها للبلاد.

وأشاروا إلى أن أسعار صقور «الوحش» تتراوح من 5 آلاف ريال إلى مليون ونصف المليون ريال، وتعتبر الصقور التي تم اصطيادها من منغوليا أعلى سعرًا من بين جميع النوعيات، نظرًا لتمتعها بمواصفات جمالية مختلفة عن باقي النوعيات بالإضافة إلى قدرتها الجسمانية العالية أيضًا، لافتين إلى أن أرخص أنواع صقور «الوحوش» التي يتم استيرادها من إيران وتباع بأسعار منخفضة رغم أن فيها مواصفات عالية، حيث يتم الحصول عليها من المصدر بسعر منخفض.
