Ashghal Completes Road Maintenance and Development Works in Al Khor
أشغال تكمل أعمال صيانة الطرق والتطوير بمناطق الخور
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has recently completed maintenance and development works on a number of roads in Al Khor area, in addition to Bin Omran, Al Hitmi Al Jadeed, Al Gharrafa and Ain Khalid areas, within the frameworks contract for roads maintenance in the country.
Maintenance and development works included replacing the top asphalt layer in some roads, treating the asphalt defects in the main and local roads, enhancing lighting poles, replacing lamps, developing traffic lights, in addition to installing directional signs and ensuring safety on the road. These works were implemented while taking into consideration requests made by residents and in cooperation with the representatives of the Municipality and members of the municipal council for each area.
It is worth noting that all maintenance and development plans are designed after assessing the condition of the internal roads, checking on safety elements on the roads from lighting, speed bumps, and status of the pavement status.
Development of Al Khor area
Engineer Abdullah Al Yafie, Head of Roads Maintenance Section, Roads Operation and Maintenance Department in Ashghal said: “The work in Al Khor area included, asphalt paving, road marking, and repairing of around 98 km of internal roads andaround1,600 manholes (inspection room), as well as installing and developing a number of directional signs. Ashghal also installed 1,370 new street lighting poles using LED lights, while 830 old lights were replaced with new LED lights to improve visibility and to save energy”.
Development of various areas
As for Ain Khalid and Al Hitmi Al Jadeed, works included asphalt paving, road marking and maintenance of about 15 km of internal roads and around 221 manholes. In addition to installing and developing new signal and traffic lights, , installing 122 new lighting poles and replacing 122 lights with new LED lights.
Works in Al Gharrafa included asphalt paving and marking of about 16 km of internal roads, and repairing about 400 manholes. In addition to installing a of speed humps to increase traffic safety in the area, and installing 115 new lighting poles with LED lights.
As for Bin Omran, it included paving and planning about 18 km of internal roads, repairing 232 manholes, installing 142 traffic signs, developing road signs, and installing 532 new lighting poles with LED lights.
Ashghal began the implementation of the Frameworks Contract for Road Maintenance in Qatar in 2017, which includes safety inspections, rehabilitation, replacement and maintenance of the road networks, including urgent, routine and preventive maintenance.
انتهت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” مؤخراً من أعمال صيانة وتطوير عدد من الطرق في منطقة الخور، إضافة إلى كل من منطقة بن عمران والهتمي الجديد والغرافة وعين خالد وذلك ضمن العقد الإطاري لصيانة الطرق في الدولة.
تتضمن أعمال الصيانة والتطوير للمناطق استبدال الطبقة الإسفلتية العليا في بعض الطرق ومعالجة العيوب الإسفلتية بالشوارع الرئيسية والداخلية وتطوير أعمدة الإنارة واستبدال المصابيح، وتطوير الإشارات المرورية، إضافة إلى تركيب اللوحات الإرشادية والتأكد من عناصر السلامة على الطريق، مع الوضع في الاعتبار الطلبات التي تقدم بها السكان بالتعاون مع ممثلي البلدية وأعضاء المجلس البلدي عن كل منطقة.
جدير بالذكر أن أعمال صيانة وتطوير المناطق تتم عن طريق عمل فحص للطرق الداخلية ولعناصر السلامة على الطريق من إنارة ومطبات وحالة الرصف، ومن ثم يتم وضع خطة للصيانة والتطوير.
تطوير منطقة الخور
من جانبه قال المهندس عبدالله اليافعي، رئيس قسم صيانة الطرق، إدارة تشغيل وصيانة الطرق في “أشغال”: “شملت الأعمال في منطقة الخور رصف وتخطيط وصيانة وإعادة تأهيل حوالي 98 كم من الطرق الداخلية وحوالي 1600 مانهول (غرفة تفتيش)، كما تم تركيب وتطوير عدد من اللوحات الإرشادية، أما فيما يخص الإنارة، قامت “أشغال” بتركيب 1370 عمود إنارة جديد باستخدام مصابيح الليد (LED)، فيما تم استبدال 830 مصباح إنارة قديم بمصابيح LED جديدة لتحسين الرؤية وتوفير الطاقة”.
تطوير مناطق متفرقة
أما بالنسبة لمنطقة عين خالد والهتمي الجديد، فقد تضمنت الأعمال رصف وتخطيط وصيانة حوالي 15 كيلومتر من الطرق الداخلية وحول 221 غرفة تفتيش، وتركيب وتطوير اللوحات الإرشادية والمرورية، وتركيب 122 عمود إنارة جديد واستبدال 122 مصباح إنارة بمصابيح ليد LED جديدة.
كما تضمنت الأعمال في منطقة الغرافة رصف وتخطيط حوالي 16 كيلومتر من الطرق الداخلية وإصلاح حوالي 400 غرفة تفتيش، كما تركيب عدد من المطبات الصناعية لرفع مستوى السلامة المرورية بالمنطقة، وتركيب 115 عمود إنارة جديد بمصابيح LED.
أما منطقة بن عمران فشملت رصف وتخطيط حوالي 18 كيلومتر من الطرق الداخلية وتأهيل 232 غرفة تفتيش، وتركيب 142 لوحة مرورية وتطوير اللوحات الإرشادية، وتركيب 532 عمود إنارة جديد بمصابيح LED.
كانت قد بدأت “أشغال” تطبيق العقد الإطاري لصيانة الطرق في قطر في عام 2017 والذي يتضمن عمليات التفتيش على السلامة والقيام بأعمال التأهيل والاستبدال والصيانة لشبكة الطرق بما في ذلك أعمال الصيانة العاجلة والروتينية والوقائية.
