Daily traffic congestion on Najma Street due to hot drinks shops
اختناق مروريّ يومي في شارع «نجمة» بسبب محال بيع المشروبات الساخنة

Doha: A number of users of Najma Street demanded the concerned authority to find practical solutions to solve the problem of traffic congestion caused by vehicles violating traffic laws, first and foremost parking in non-permitted places, specifically in front of hot drinks shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
They pointed out that the traffic congestion in the street increases in frequency in the evening due to these activities, which requires traffic patrols to be on the street to issue fines to violators, and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) to work to turn it into a one-way road.
They suggested charging for parking on Najma Street on condition that it be collected after the owner of the car has spent more than an hour preventing it from being exploited by people who convert it to their own parking lots as they leave their vehicles for more than 10 hours, pointing out that the exploitation of commercial street parking for a long time deprives the shops of their customers and pushes them to break the laws and stop their vehicles in prohibited places.

الدوحة: طالب عددٌ من مُستخدمي شارع «نجمة»، الجهة المعنية بإيجاد حلول عمليّة لحلّ مشكلة الزحام المروري الخانق الذي تتسبب به المركبات المُخالفة للقوانين المرورية، وفي مقدّمتها الوقوف في غير الأماكن المسموح بها، وبالتحديد أمام محال بيع المشروبات الساخنة والسوبرماركت والمطاعم.
وأشاروا إلى أنَّ التكدّس المروري الخانق في الشارع ترتفع وتيرته في الفترة المسائيّة بسبب تلك الأنشطة، ما يتطلب من الدوريات المروريّة التواجد في الشارع لإصدار غرامات بحقّ المُخالفين، وقيام هيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال» بالعمل على تحويله إلى طريق ذي اتجاه واحد.
واقترحوا فرضَ رسوم على مواقف السيارات في شارع «نجمة» بشرط تحصيلها بعد أن يقضي صاحب السيّارة مدة تزيد على الساعة لمنع استغلالها من قِبل أشخاص يقومون بتحويلها إلى مواقفهم الخاصّة وترك مركباتهم لمدة تزيد على 10 ساعات، لافتين إلى أنَّ استغلال مواقف الشوارع التجاريّة لمدة طويلة يحرم زبائن المحال منها ويدفعهم لمُخالفة القوانين وإيقاف مركباتهم في الأماكن الممنوعة.
