MOI grants expats grace period to correct legal status

Doha: Regarding correcting the status of Expatriates Violating Provisions of Law No 21 of 2015 Regulating the Entry and Exit of Expatriates and their Residence. Under the provisions of Law No.21 of 2015 regulating the entry and exit of expatriates and their residence, the ministry of Interior announces of limit to correct the legal status of expatriates who violate the provisions of this law, starting on october 10,2021, and ending on December 31,2021

Accordingly, all violating expatriates or employers/ hosts shall approach the search and follow-up Department or any of the following service centres: Umm Slal, Umm Sunaim ( Formerly Industrial Area), Mesaimeer, Al Wakra and Al Rayyan to submit a request for reconciliation regarding violations of the law above to consider exemption from reconciliation amount or reduction in it based on the provisions of the law mentioned above.

Given the above, please visit the department or services centres mentioned above, during the specified period, from 1 pm to 6 pm

Categories that can benefit from correcting their legal status:

• Expatriates who violate the residency rules.
• Expatriates who violate the work visa rules.
• Expatriates who violate family visit rules.

The ministry of Interior calls on the employers and expatriates to use of this grace period for reconciliation to correct their legal status and avoid legal procedures against them for not legitimizing their status.

الدوحة: بشأن تصحيح أوضاع الوافدين المخالفين لأحكام القانون رقم )21( لسنة 2015 بتنظيم دخول وخروج الوافدين وإقامتهم تعلن وزارة الداخلية وفقاً لأحكام القانون رقم (21) لسنة 2015 بتنظيم دخول وخروج الوافدين وإقامتهم، عن تحديد فترة زمنية لتصحيح الأوضاع غير القانونية للوافدين المخالفين لأحكام هذا القانون، تبدأ من تاريخ 10/10/2021، وتنتهي بتاريخ 31/12/2021 م.

وبناء على ذلك، فإنه يتعين على كل وافد مخالف أو مستقدم مخالف، خلال الفترة المحددة أعلاه، تقديم طلب التصالح بشأن مخالفات القانون المشار إليه إلى إدارة البحث و المتابعة أو إلى أي مركز من المراكز التالية: (مركز خدمات أم صلال، مركز خدمات أم سنيم- الصناعية سابقاً ، مركز خدمات مسيمير، مركز خدمات الوكرة، مركز خدمات الريان)، وذلك (للنظر في الإعفاء من مبلغ التصالح أو تخفيضه) استناداً لأحكام القانون المشار إليه.

وعليه، يرجى مراجعة الإدارة أو المراكز المذكورة، خلال الفترة المشار أليها، من الساعة الواحدة ظهراً إلى الساعة السادسة مساء.

الفئات المستفيدة من تصحيح أوضاعها غير القانونية:

• الوافدون المخالفون للإقامة.
• الوافدون المخالفون لسمات العمل.
• الوافدون المخالفون للزيارات العائلية.

وتهيب وزارة الداخلية بالمستقدمين أو الوافدين، التقيد بالفترة المحددة في هذا الإعلان للاستفادة من التصالح لتصحيح أوضاعهم غير القانونية، وتفادياً لتطبيق الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم في حال عدم تصحيح أوضاعهم.
