New Coronavirus strain linked to travelling abroad revealed

The Public Health Agency in England announced the discovery of a new strain of Coronavirus in Britain.
“So far, 16 cases of B.1.621 mutation have been identified across the country, most of which are linked to overseas travel,” According to the British newspaper, “Mirror”, quoting specialists.
Doctors at the Public Health Agency were now testing this new SARS-CoV-2 mutation to better understand the effect of the mutation on the virus’s behavior.
Doctors do not yet know for sure whether the B.1.621 strain may reduce the effectiveness of vaccines.
To date,”Delta”, the mutated strain of the Coronavirus, which was first discovered in India, is the most prevalent strain in the world.
England lifted all social restrictions related to the virus on July 19.
أعلنت وكالة الصحة العامة في إنجلترا، عن اكتشاف سلالة جديدة من فيروس كورونا في بريطانيا.
ووفق صحيفة “ميرور” البريطانية نقلا عن مختصين أنه “حتى الآن، تم تحديد 16 حالة إصابة بطفرة B.1.621 في جميع أنحاء البلاد، ومعظمها مرتبط بالسفر إلى الخارج”.
وأفادت بأن الأطباء في وكالة الصحة العامة يقومون الآن بإجراء اختبارات على هذا المتحور الجديد من فيروس كورونا (SARS-CoV-2) لفهم تأثير الطفرة على سلوك الفيروس بشكل أفضل.
ولا يعرف الأطباء بعد على وجه اليقين ما إذا كانت سلالة B.1.621 قد تقلل من فعالية اللقاحات أم لا.
وحتى الآن تعتبر السلالة المتحورة لفيروس كورونا “دلتا”، التي تم اكتشافها أول مرة في الهند، السلالة الأكثر انتشارا في العالم.
وكانت إنجلترا رفعت جميع القيود الاجتماعية الخاصة بالفيروس في 19 يوليو الجاري.
