MME Announces Desire to Buy Dates from Farm Owners

Doha: The permanent committee for farms and organizing farmers’ affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) announced its desire to purchase dates from Qatari farm owners for the 2021 season.
In a statement, the committee called on those wishing to sell their dates to apply to the committee’s secretariat at the Agricultural Affairs Department in the agricultural sector building in Al Salata, by November 1.
The committee stated the technical specifications for the supply of dates for this season, including that they are identical to the variety in terms of shape, color, taste and in the stage of full maturity, identical in color and shape and homogeneous in size. It added that the dates should be free from pesticide, fungicide residues, chemical odors, produced and carefully equipped to ensure that they are free of insect pests, appearance defects and external distortions while receiving them in plastic boxes and packing bags dedicated to food preservation, which will be provided to supplier farmers.

الدوحة: أعلنت اللجنة الدائمة للمزارع وتنظيم شؤون المزارعين بوزارة البلدية والبيئة، عن رغبتها في شراء التمور من أصحاب المزارع القطريين للموسم 2021.
ودعت اللجنة في بيان، الراغبين في بيع تمورهم للتقدم إلى أمانة سر اللجنة بإدارة الشؤون الزراعية بمبنى القطاع الزراعي بمنطقة/ اسلطة/ في موعد أقصاه 1 نوفمبر المقبل.
وذكرت اللجنة المواصفات الفنية لتوريد التمور لهذا الموسم منها أن تكون مطابقة للصنف من حيث الشكل واللون والطعم وفي مرحلة النضج التام، ومتماثلة اللون والشكل ومتجانسة في الحجم، وأن تكون خالية من متبقيات المبيدات الحشرية والفطرية والروائح الكيميائية، ومنتجة ومجهزة بعناية تضمن خلوها من الآفات الحشرية وخالية من العيوب المظهرية والتشوهات الخارجية مع استلامها في صناديق بلاستيكية وأكياس تعبئة مخصصة لحفظ المواد الغذائية، سيتم توفيرها للمزارعين الموردين.
