Katara Studios Interact with Splendid Mascots of Tournament

Doha: Katara studios have fervently offered a splendid artwork that interacts with the mascots of 2023 AFC Asian Cup which is due to be hosted by Doha from Jan. 12 to Feb. 10, 2024, with the participation of 24 teams.
The studios have embarked on producing animations and a song inspired by animation’s world that encourage perseverance and the importance of clinging to hope, as the studios have been keen to pay tribute to the legacy of the tournament that Qatar is set to host for the third time in history.
On Dec. 1, the first mascot was unveiled impersonating the family of gerbil animal in a special captivating ceremony held specifically for this occasion at Barahat Msheireb which drew a huge turnout from fans and the public.
The creative director, artwork producer and director at Katara studios Fahad Al Kuwari affirmed that the crucial idea of creating this artwork is to innovate a mesmerizing concept that invokes old memories and shines a spotlight on the values and culture of the Qatari community.
Al Kuwari, who had contributed to producing the official mascot of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said he wanted to blend the elements of the past in this such of artworks through introducing a song for children which is replete with numerous noble values by considering the major popular consideration earned by the animations in Qatar and the region. He added that this creative artwork holds the mold of nostalgia and simultaneously draws adults to have echoes for all nations across the continent.
Artist Dana Al Meer, who participated in writing and performing the mascot of 2023 AFC Asian Cup said she boasts of her participation in the creation and authorship of the mascot, pointing out that the mascot will inspire a new generation of football fans.
The words of this song revolve around encouragement and promoting the spirit of enthusiasm, in addition to putting a spotlight on the significance of perseverance and the importance of clinging to hope, Al Meer outlined, hoping that the artwork would promote communication and cultural exchange among fans across Asia.

الدوحة: قدمت استوديوهات كتارا عملا فنيا يتفاعل مع تعويذات بطولة كأس آسيا قطر 2023، التي ستستضيفها الدوحة في الفترة من 12 يناير إلى 10 فبراير المقبلين، بمشاركة 24 منتخبا، وذلك من خلال إنتاج فيلم رسوم متحركة وأغنية مستلهمة من عالم أفلام الكرتون تشجع على التحلي بروح المثابرة والتشبث بالأمل، كما تحتفي بإرث البطولة التي تستضيفها قطر للمرة الثالثة في تاريخها.
وتم الكشف في الأول من ديسمبر الجاري عن تعويذة نسخة البطولة الـ 18 على شكل عائلة لحيوان الجربوع، وذلك في حفل خاص أقيم بهذه المناسبة في براحة مشيرب، شهد حضورا كبيرا من مشجعي كرة القدم وعامة الجمهور.
وأكد السيد فهد الكواري، مخرج ومنتج العمل الفني في استوديوهات /كتارا/، وهو مخرج ومنتج العمل الفني، أن الفكرة وراء إنتاج العمل تتمثل في ابتكار مفهوم مرح يستحضر الذكريات القديمة، ويلقي الضوء على قيم وثقافة المجتمع القطري من خلال الإشارة إلى صفات عائلة سبوق بأسلوب يستحضر الحنين إلى الماضي.
وقال الكواري الذي ساهم أيضا في إنتاج “لعيب” التعويذة الرسمية لكأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022: “أردنا مزج عناصر من الماضي في هذا النوع من الفنون، من خلال تقديم أغنية للأطفال فيها الكثير من القيم النبيلة، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار الشعبية الكبيرة التي تحظى بها الرسوم المتحركة في قطر والمنطقة، بقالب يحمل شيئا من الحنين إلى الماضي، ويجذب الكبار في الوقت نفسه، بحيث يكون للعمل صدى لدى الجميع في القارة بأكملها”.
وأعربت الفنانة القطرية دانة المير، التي شاركت في كتابة وأداء أغنية تعويذة كأس آسيا قطر 2023، عن اعتزازها بالمشاركة في تأليف وأداء أغنية تعويذة البطولة الآسيوية، مشيرة إلى أنها ستلهم جيلا جديدا من مشجعي كرة القدم.
وقالت المير: “تتمحور كلمات الأغنية حول التشجيع وبث روح الحماس، وإلقاء الضوء على أهمية المثابرة والتحلي بالأمل.. نأمل أن يسهم العمل الفني في تعزيز التواصل والتبادل الثقافي بين المشجعين في أنحاء القارة”.
وتضم عائلة التعويذة: /سبوق الابن/ وهو نجم العائلة الرياضي ولونه أزرق، وتم استلهام الاسم من كلمة سبوق، وهو المصطلح المستخدم في اللهجة العامية للجربوع في قطر، و/فريحة/ البنت الكبرى للعائلة ولونها وردي، والتي سميت على اسم منطقة فريحة بشمال قطر، و/تمبكي/ الأخ الأصغر لسبوق ويحمل اللون الأصفر، وسمي بهذا الاسم نسبة إلى منطقة تمبك التي تقع في شرق قطر، إضافة إلى الأب /زكريتي/ باللون الأخضر، وسمي بهذا الاسم نسبة إلى منطقة /زكريت/ التي تقع غرب الدولة، والأم /ترينة/ باللون الأرجواني، وسميت نسبة إلى منطقة ترينة الواقعة في الجنوب.
