Qatar: First EV charger plant in region to begin production in Q3 of 2022
قطر: أول مصنع في المنطقة لأجهزة شحن السيارات الكهربائية يبدأ إنتاجه في الربع الثالث من 2022
Al-Sharq – WGOQatar Translations Doha: Abdul Hakim al-Hashimi, head of public projects at the Department of Building Projects in Ashghal, revealed that the first electric charger factory for cars and electric buses in Qatar and the region will begin production in the third quarter of next year, pointing out that the construction of the plant comes within the plans to settle high-tech industries in Qatar. He explained that the Public Works Authority “Ashghal” signed a memorandum of understanding with the Swiss company ABB, in coordination with the Free Zones Authority, to establish the factory of electric chargers for cars and electric buses, becoming the first plant of its kind for ABB in the field of electrical transport in the Middle East. “This factory is the third of its kind in the world, with one in Europe and one in America under construction,” al-Hashimi said on Tarahib program on Al Rayyan TV. الشرق الدوحة: كشف المهندس عبدالحكيم الهاشمي، رئيس قسم المشروعات العامة بإدارة مشروعات المباني في أشغال، أن أول مصنع لأجهزة الشحن الكهربائي للسيارات والحافلات الكهربائية في قطر والمنطقة سيبدأ إنتاجه في الربع اثالث من العام المقبل، مشيراً إلى أن إنشاء المصنع يأتي ضمن خطط توطين الصناعات عالية التقنية في قطر. وأوضح أن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” وقعت مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة ABB السويسرية، بالتنسيق مع هيئة المناطق الحرة، لإنشاء مصنع أجهزة الشحن الكهربائي للسيارات والحافلات الكهربائية، ليصبح أول مصنع من نوعه لشركة ABB في مجال النقل الكهربائي بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط. وأضاف المهندس الهاشمي خلال استضافته في برنامج تراحيب على قناة الريان: “هذا المصنع يعتبر الثالث من نوعه على مستوى العالم حيث يوجد واحد في أوروبا وآخر في أمريكا تحت الإنشاء”.
