Doha: Qatar is one of the most important tourist destinations due to its geographical location, the beauty of its views and its many islands around the coast of Qatar. Qatar has many islands that are exciting destinations for camping, picnics, diving and many marine activities. With the spread of the Covid-19 virus and the restrictions imposed to address it, a large part of the activities and activities associated with foreign tourism have been frozen, which in turn has stimulated Qatar’s domestic tourism sector, especially in the summer period, and many parks and resorts have already been reopened to meet the needs of the population, citizens and residents.
Every week we will re-explore the inland tourist destinations, and this week we have selected the Qatar Islands. Here is a list of the most important islands in Qatar:
Halul Island
Located on the east coast of Qatar, with an area of 1.48 km, Qatar’s second largest island is characterized by its sandy coastline and low-rise coastal cliffs. It is an important destination for fishing enthusiasts.
Palm Island
One of the most popular tourist islands, Palm Island is located in the heart of the waters of Doha Bay, and is one of the smallest islands of Qatar in area but characterized by a large visitor demand due to its tourist and leisure importance, since it features children’s play centers, horse riding, camel races, sailboats and fishing boats, as well as a large number of facilities, restaurants and more. The island can be reached with the help of a boat from the Doha Corniche to the middle of the water in just a few minutes.

Al-Khor Island
Al-Khor Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Qatar, also called Purple Island. Located in northeastern Qatar and a subsidiary of Al-Khor province, the island has the oldest archaeological site in the country which dates back to 3000 BC, so the island is an important destination for tourists from all over the world who want to know its ancient history, as well as many hotels, facilities, shops, sports clubs and restaurants.
The Pearl-Qatar
It is one of the artificial islands, with an area of 33 km and one of the most densely populated islands of Qatar, due to the modern facilities and services available there, and the presence of a large number of residences, hotels and villas suitable for rent and overlooking the beach directly. In addition to a large number of modern shopping malls and malls with famous brands, the island also has a yacht harbour with a large number of yachts of different sizes as well as fishing boats.
Al Safliya Island
It is one of the smallest islands in Qatar, located on the southern side of Al-Alia Island, with an area of 1 km, with similar topographic characteristics and geological composition. It is an important destination for lovers of relaxation, tranquility and water sports.

Ishat Island
It is one of the distinguished tourist islands with its scenic views, with an area of 6 km, and 10 km from the coastline, and is surrounded by cliffs carved from the waves, and its low seas, in addition to being devoid of plants and inhabited by some species of seabirds.
Shura`awa Island
One of the islands, which is distinguished by its beauty, is located on the north-east side of Khor Al Adaid, and consists of many rocky blocks with its ancient compositions. Its land area is 1 km, characterized by shallow waters and the presence of coastal cliffs that are not more than a metre high, and are free of plant life.
Al-Bashiriya Island
It is a sandy island, with an area of 5 km, 1.5 km from the coastline, and was formed by the accumulation of sand deposits and sea currents.
Al-Alia Island
Located on the eastern side of Doha, Al-Alia Island has a sand surface and an area of 1.8 km and is surrounded by coastlines with rocky surfaces furnished with sand deposits.

الدوحة: تعتبر دولة قطر من أهم الوجهات السياحية نظراً لموقعها الجغرافي وجمال مناظرها واحتوائها على العديد من الجزر المحيطة بساحل قطر. وتمتلك قطر العديد من الجزر التي تعد وجهات مثيرة ومناسبة للتخييم والنزهات والغوص والعديد من الأنشطة البحرية. ومع انتشار فيروس كوفيد- 19 والقيود التي فرضت لمواجهته فقد تم تجميد جزء كبير من الأنشطة والفعاليات المرتبطة بالسياحة الخارجية، وهذا بدوره أدى إلى تنشيط قطاع السياحة الداخلي في دولة قطر خصوصاً في الفترة الصيفية، وبالفعل فقد تم إعادة افتتاح العديد من الحدائق والمنتجعات لتلبية حاجات السكان من مواطنين ومقيمين.
وسنقوم في كل أسبوع بإعادة استكشاف الوجهات السياحية الداخلية، وقد اخترنا لكم لهذا الأسبوع الجزر القطرية. وإليكم قائمة بأهم وأبرز الجزر في دولة قطر:
جزيرة حالول
تعد ثاني أكبر الجزر القطرية وعلى شكل هدبة، تقع على الساحل الشرقيّ لدولة قطر، وتبلغ مساحة أراضيها 1.48كيلومتر، وتمتاز الجزيرة بسواحلها الرملية والجروف الساحلية ذات الارتفاعات المنخفضة. تعد وجهة مهمة لمحبي الصيد.
جزيرة النخيل
من أشهر الجزر السياحية، تقع جزيرة النخيل في قلب مياه خليج الدوحة، وتُعد من أصغر جزر قطر في المساحة ولكنها تتميز بإقبال كبير من الزائرين ويرجع ذلك لأهميتها السياحية والترفيهية حيث تتميز بوجود مراكز لعب أطفال وركوب خيل وسباقات الهجن ومراكب شراعية ومراكب صيد بالإضافة إلى عددٍ كبيرٍ من المرافق والمطاعم وغيرها. ويمكن الوصول إلى الجزيرة بمساعدة قارب من كورنيش الدوحة إلى وسط المياه في مسافة تستغرق عدة دقائق فقط.
جزيرة الخور
تعد جزيرة الخور من أجمل الجزر في قطر، ويطلق عليها أيضاً جزيرة الأرجواني. تقع في شمال شرق قطر وهي تابعة لمحافظة الخور، تمتلك الجزيرة أقدم موقع أثري في البلاد على الإطلاق ويعود تاريخه إلى 3000 عام قبل الميلاد، لذلك فإن الجزيرة تُعد قِبلة للسائحين من مُختلف أنحاء العالم والراغبين في التعرف على تاريخها العريق، كما أنها تحوي العديد من الفنادق والمرافق والمحلات التجارية، الأندية الرياضية والمطاعم.
جزيرة اللؤلؤة
هي إحدى الجزر الاصطناعية، تبلغ مساحتها 33 كيلو متر إضافةً إلى أنها من أكثر جزر قطر كثافةً سكانية؛ وذلك لحداثة المرافق والخدمات الموجودة بها، ولوجود عدد كبير من المساكن والفنادق والفلل الصالحة للإيجار والمُطلة على الشاطئ مُباشرة. بالإضافة إلى عدد كبير من مراكز التسوق والمولات الحديثة التي تضم علامات تجارية شهيرة، كما تمتلك الجزيرة مرفأ يخوت يضم عدد كبير من اليخوت مختلفة الأحجام بالإضافة إلى مراكب الصيد.
جزيرة السافلية
تعتبر من أصغر الجزر القطرية، تقع في الجهة الجنوبية من جزيرة العالية، وتبلغ مساحة أراضيها كيلومتر واحد، تمتاز بخصائصها الطبوغرافية المتشابهة، وبتركيبها الجيولوجي. وتعد وجهة مهمة لمحبي الاسترخاء والهدوء والرياضات المائية.
جزيرة الأسحاط
تعد من الجزر السياحية المتميزة بمنظارها الخلابة، تبلغ مساحة أراضيها 6 كيلومتر، وتبعد عن خط الساحل 10 كيلومتر، وتتميز بإحاطتها بالجروف المنحوتة من الأمواج، وبسواحلها المنخفضة، إضافةً إلى أنها تخلو من النباتات ويقطنها بعض الأنواع من طيور البحر.
جزيرة شراعوه
تعد من الجزر المتميزة بجمالها، تقع في الجهة الشماليّة الشرقيّة من خور العديد، وتتألف من العديد من الكتل الصخرية المتميزة بتكويناتها القديمة. تبلغ مساحة أراضيها كيلومتر واحد، وتتميز بمياهها الضحلة و بوجود الجروف الساحلية التي لا يتجاوز ارتفاعها أكثر من متر، إضافةُ إلى أنها خالية من الحياة النباتية.
جزيرة البشيرية
تعد من الجزر الرملية، تبلغ مساحتها 5 كيلومتر، وتبعد عن خط الساحل 1.5 كيلومتر، ونشأت من تراكم الترسبات الرملية والتيارات البحرية.
جزيرة العالية
تعد جزيرة العالية ذات سطح رملي، تقع في الجهة الشرقيّة من مدينة الدوحة، وتبلغ مساحة أراضيها 1.8 كيلومتر، وتمتاز بأنّها محاطة بالسواحل المتميزة بالسطوح الصخرية المفروشة بالترسبات الرملية.
