The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said the following statement:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and the council affirmed the continuation of work with regard to the precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this pandemic.

The Cabinet reassured the progress of the first phase of the vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) which is being carried out successfully, according to the set plan, as part of the state’s continuous efforts to address this pandemic and return to normal life.

After that, the Council considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First, The Cabinet approved the draft decision of the Minister of Finance to establish two customs departments in Ras Bufontas and Umm Al Houl areas.

According to the project, a customs department will be established for each of the following two areas:

1- The First Economic Zone (Ras Bufontas ).

2- The Third Economic Zone (Umm Al Houl).

Second, the approval of:

1- A draft MoU in childhood between the government of the State of Qatar and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

2- A draft agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Peru regarding the exemption from short-stay visas.

Third, the cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions:

1- The report of HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs regarding the results of the (30) meeting of the Ministers of Justice in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

2- The report of HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs regarding the results of the (36) session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس ظهر يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع، أدلى سعادة الدكتور عيسى بن سعد الجفالي النعيمي، وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي:

في بداية الاجتماع، استمع مجلس الوزراء إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد- 19/، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.

واطمأنّ المجلس على سير المرحلة الأولى من مراحل حملة التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا /كوفيدـ 19/، والتي تسير بنجاح، وفقا للخطة الموضوعة، وذلك في إطار جهود الدولة المستمرة للتصدي لهذه الجائحة والعودة إلى الحياة الطبيعية.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

أولاً ـ الموافقة على مشروع قرار وزير المالية بإنشاء دائرتين جمركتين بمنطقتي رأس بوفنطاس وأم الحول.

وبموجب المشروع، تُنشأ دائرة جمركية لكل من المنطقتين التاليتين:

1 ـ المنطقة الاقتصادية الأولى (رأس بوفنطاس).

2 ـ المنطقة الاقتصادية الثالثة (أم الحول).

ثانياً ـ الموافقة على:

1 ـ مشروع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال الطفولة بين حكومة دولة قطر ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسيف).

2 ـ مشروع اتفاقية بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية بيرو بشأن الإعفاء من تأشيرة الإقامة القصيرة.

ثالثاً ـ استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعيين التاليين واتخذ بشأنهما القرار المناسب:

1 ـ كتاب سعادة وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بشأن نتائج الاجتماع (30) لوزراء العدل بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.

2 ـ كتاب سعادة وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بشأن نتائج الدورة (36) لمجلس وزراء العدل العرب.
