International Praise For AFC Champions League’s Matches in Qatar

Doha: The Peninsula newspaper highlighted in its Sunday editorial the international praise that Qatar attracted when it hosted the AFC Champions League, West Zone, matches during September and October in a safe environment, in addition to its current role as a host of the East Zone matches.
It noted that Qatar Football Association (QFA) submitted the third part of the bid file for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), underlining the governments pledge of guarantees that are compatible with AFCs requirements for a successful bid.
The Peninsula emphasized that the third part of the bid file reflects Qatars keen intent on utilizing the time-tested experience it has attained over the last two decades by hosting world-class sports events on a regular basis. In the latest pledge, Qatar said hosting the 24-team tournament will be completed with highest standards the AFC and FIFA expects from any host country of the AFC Asian Cup, the newspaper added.
It also pointed out that in exactly two years time, Qatar will welcome the best teams in the globe for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding that the matches of FIFAs premier football tournament will be played across eight state-of-the-start stadiums with cooling technology. Qatar has already completed three stadiums with another one set to be unveiled on December 18, 2020, when the Amir Cup final will be played at Al Rayyan Stadium, it said.
The Peninsula concluded by stating that Qatar is the best bet for Asias top football event in 2027, adding that Qatar will deliver a memorable edition of the 2027 Asian Cup.

ونوهت بقيام الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم بتسليم الجزء الثالث من ملف الترشح لاستضافة كأس آسيا 2027، والذي يتضمن كافة متطلبات الضمان الحكومي المتوافقة مع شروط الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم فيما يتعلق باستضافة البطولة.
وذكرت الصحيفة أن الجزء الثالث من ملف الترشح يعكس حرص دولة قطر على الاستفادة من الخبرة التي اكتسبتها على مدار العقدين الماضيين من خلال استضافة الأحداث الرياضية ذات المستوى العالمي بشكل منتظم، مشيرة إلى أن دولة قطر أكدت على أن البطولة ستكون وفقاً لأعلى المعايير التي يتوقعها الاتحاد الآسيوي والاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم /فيفا/.
وقالت /البيننسولا/، إن دولة قطر ستستقبل في غضون عامين أفضل المنتخبات في العالم خلال مونديال 2022، حيث ستقام مباريات كأس العالم في ثمانية ملاعب حديثة، مضيفة أن قطر انتهت من إنشاء ثلاثة ملاعب، ومن المقرر الكشف عن ملعب آخر في 18 ديسمبر 2020 خلال نهائي كأس سمو الأمير في استاد الريان.
واختتمت الصحيفة افتتاحيتها بالإشارة إلى أن دولة قطر هي أفضل رهان لكأس آسيا لكرة القدم 2027، مضيفة أن قطر ستقدم نسخة لا تنسى من البطولة.
