Ten-man Bayern cruise past Fuerth to open up three-point lead

FUERTH, Germany: Bayern Munich eased past hosts Greuther Fuerth 3-1 on Friday, despite playing almost the entire second half with 10 men, to open up a three point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
While Thomas Mueller and Joshua Kimmich were on target in the champions’ eighth consecutive win in all competitions this season, Bayern top scorer Robert Lewandowski saw his scoring streak snap, after failing to equal Gerd Mueller’s all-time record of scoring in 16 consecutive league games.
“I would not really call it a great performance from us,” said Kimmich, who also scored twice last week. “But we did have the game under control even when we were a man down.
“We did make the occasional mistake as we tried to play the ball forward from the back but overall it was a deserved win.”
It was always going to be a one-sided encounter against the promoted club, bottom in the Bundesliga and without a win this season, and Bayern took a quick lead after 10 minutes with Thomas Mueller slotting in from an Alphonso Davies cutback.
Kimmich was devastatingly accurate with a low drive on the half hour to score his third league goal and Lewandowski hit the woodwork just before the break.
A reckless challenge by Benjamin Pavard three minutes after the restart left the champions with 10 men but it hardly changed the dynamic of the game.
A 68th minute own goal by Sebastian Griesbeck, under pressure from Lewandowski, killed off any slim hopes of a comeback that Fuerth may have been secretly harbouring.
The home fans did get a moment to savour when Cedric Itten headed in a cross in the 87th minute to cut the deficit.
Bayern, who take on Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League next week, move up to 16 points from six matches, with VfL Wolfsburg, on 13 in second place, travelling to Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Third-placed Borussia Dortmund, on 12, take on Borussia Moenchengladbach.

وبينما سجل توماس مولر ويوشوا كيميش في الفوز الثامن على التوالي لبايرن بجميع المسابقات لم يتمكن الهداف روبرت ليفاندوفسكي من هز الشباك ليخفق في معادلة الرقم القياسي لجيرد مولر بالتسجيل في 16 مباراة متتالية بالدوري.
وقال كيميش الذي أحرز هدفين الأسبوع الماضي “لا أعتبر الأداء رائعا من جانبنا لكننا تحكمنا في اللقاء حتى بعد النقص العددي”.
وأضاف “ارتكبنا خطأ عابرا عندما حاولنا نقل الكرة من الخلف للأمام لكن بشكل عام كان الفوز مستحقا”.
وبدا أن المباراة ستسير في اتجاه واحد أمام الفريق الصاعد للأضواء ومتذيل الترتيب بدون أي انتصار هذا الموسم إذ تقدم بايرن سريعا بعد عشر دقائق عبر مولر مستغلا تمريرة ألفونسو ديفيز.
وكان كيميش دقيقا بشكل مبهر في تسديد كرة منخفضة بعد مرور نصف ساعة ليحرز هدفه الثالث في الدوري بينما سدد ليفاندوفسكي في إطار المرمى قبل الاستراحة.
وبعد تدخل متهور من بنجامين بافارد بعد ثلاث دقائق من بداية الشوط الثاني اضطر حامل اللقب للمواصلة بعشرة لاعبين لكن هذا لم يغير كثيرا من مسار اللقاء.
وسجل سيباستيان جريسبك بالخطأ في مرماه في الدقيقة 68 تحت ضغط من ليفاندوفسكي ليقضي على بصيص الأمل في انتفاضة لفورت.
ونال أصحاب الضيافة بعض السلوى من هدف سيدريك إيتين من ضربة رأس في الدقيقة 87 ليقلص الفارق.
ورفع بايرن، الذي يواجه دينامو كييف في دوري أبطال أوروبا الأسبوع المقبل، رصيده إلى 16 نقطة من ست مباريات بينما يحتل فولفسبورج المركز الثاني ولديه 13 نقطة قبل زيارة هوفنهايم يوم السبت.
ويلتقي بروسيا دورتموند صاحب المركز الثالث برصيد 12 نقطة مع بروسيا مونشنجلادباخ.
