Nasser Al-Khelaifi reveals the future of Neymar and Mbappe with PSG and talks about Messi

Doha: Mr. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that the two stars, Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian Neymar, want to stay in the ranks of the French club, indicating that he has started negotiations with them in this regard.

AFP quoted Al-Khelaifi – in a statement to Radio Monte Carlo following his team’s sweeping victory over Turkish Başakşehir (5-1) in the European Champions League on Wednesday – “We have started negotiations with them (Mbappé and Neymar). Things are kept secret, but we are confident, the two want to stay, I am confident of this. “

As for the possibility of transferring Argentine star Lionel Messi to the French capital’s team, especially after Neymar personally asked for him, Al-Khelaifi said, “We respect other clubs, and we also need to be respected by other clubs.”

“For me, Messi is a Barcelona player at the moment. We respect Barcelona and therefore we do not want to talk about this matter.”

Neymar joined the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for a record deal of 222 million euros, before Mbappé joined him from Monaco for 180 million euros in the same year and played on loan from Monaco in his first season before joining officially in the next.

الدوحة: أكد السيد ناصر الخليفي رئيس باريس سان جيرمان أن النجمين كيليان مبابي والبرازيلي نيمار يريدان البقاء في صفوف النادي الفرنسي، مشيراً إلى أنه بدأ المفاوضات معهما بهذا الشأن.

ونقلت وكالة “فرانس برس” عن الخليفي – في تصريح لراديو مونتي كارلو على إثر فوز فريقه الكاسح على باشاك شهير التركي 5-1 في دوري أبطال أوروبا الأربعاء –  “لقد بدأنا المفاوضات معهما (مبابي ونيمار). تبقى الأمور سرية لكننا واثقون، الاثنان يريدان البقاء وأنا واثق من هذا الأمر”.

أما فيما يتعلق بإمكانية انتقال النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي إلى صفوف فريق العاصمة الفرنسية لا سيما بعد أن طالب به نيمار شخصياً، قال الخليفي “نحن نحترم الأندية الاخرى، كما نحتاج إلى أن يتم احترامنا من قبل الأندية الأخرى”.

وتابع “بالنسبة إلي فإن ميسي هو لاعب برشلونة في الوقت الحالي، نحن نحترم برشلونة وبالتالي لا نريد الحديث عن هذا الأمر”.

وكان نيمار انضم الى صفوف باريس سان جرمان صيف عام 2017 مقابل صفقة قياسية بلغت 222 مليون يورو، قبل أن يلتحق به مبابي قادماً من موناكو مقابل 180 مليون يورو في العام ذاته ولعب معاراً من موناكو في موسمه الأول قبل ان ينضم رسمياً في التالي.
