The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday afternoon.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement: At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet welcomed the results of the talks of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during His Excellency’s official visit to the State on Sep. 13 and14, which came within the framework of the brotherly and historical relations between the two countries, and the common desire to develop and advance them for the benefit of the two peoples.

The Cabinet affirmed that the Qatari-Egyptian summit talks and the memoranda of understanding signed in Doha opened new horizons for the two countries to expand and develop cooperation in various fields, intensify efforts to serve Arab issues and enhance joint Arab Action.

Then, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows: First – Approval of a draft Amiri decision to establish and organize the External Information Office.

According to the draft decision, the “External Information Office” will be established, affiliated with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and shall have a legal personality, with a budget attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Office aims to convey an accurate image of the State of Qatar and highlight the priorities and vision of the State of Qatar.

Second – Approval of a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of youth between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Turkmenistan.

Third – Approval of hosting the 91st session of the Executive Council of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) (Doha – Oct. 10, 2022).

Fourth – The Cabinet followed up the arrangements and preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and took the appropriate decision in this regard.

Fifth – The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions: 1- Results of the study prepared by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on the competencies of the committee to set maximum prices and profit rates.

2- Annual reports on the work of the Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations during the period from 2019-2021.

3- Results of the 32nd Meeting of GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee (June 2022 – via videoconferencing).

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس يوم أمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع، أدلى سعادة السيد/ محمد بن عبدالله السليطي وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي: في بداية الاجتماع، رحب مجلس الوزراء بنتائج مباحثات حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله” وأخيه فخامة الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية الشقيقة، خلال زيارة فخامته الرسمية لدولة قطر يومي الثالث عشر والرابع عشر من شهر سبتمبر الحالي، والتي جاءت في إطار العلاقات الأخوية والتاريخية بين البلدين، والرغبة المشتركة في تطويرها والارتقاء بها لمصلحة الشعبين الشقيقين.

وأكد المجلس، أن مباحثات القمة القطرية المصرية ومذكرات التفاهم التي تم التوقيع عليها في الدوحة قد فتحت أمام البلدين آفاقا جديدة لتوسيع وتطوير التعاون في مختلف المجالات وتكثيف الجهود لخدمة القضايا العربية وتعزيز العمل العربي المشترك.

وبعد ذلك، نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي: أولاً: الموافقة على مشروع قرار أميري بإنشاء وتنظيم مكتب الإعلام الخارجي.

وبموجب مشروع القرار ينشأ مكتب يسمى “مكتب الإعلام الخارجي” يتبع وزير الخارجية وتكون له شخصية معنوية، وموازنة تلحق بموازنة وزارة الخارجية.

ويهدف المكتب إلى نقل صورة دقيقة عن دولة قطر، وتسليط الضوء على أولويات ورؤية دولة قطر الوطنية.

ثانياً – الموافقة على مشروع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال الشباب بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية تركمانستان.

ثالثاً- الموافقة على استضافة الدورة (91) للمجلس التنفيذي لمكتب التربية العربي لدول الخليج (الدوحة – 5 ، 6 / 10 / 2022).

رابعاً – تابع مجلس الوزراء الترتيبات والاستعدادات الخاصة باستضافة بطولة كأس العالم فيفا قطر 2022، واتخذ في هذا الشأن القرار المناسب.

خامساً- استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعات التالية واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة: 1- نتائج الدراسة التي أعدتها وزارة التجارة والصناعة حول اختصاصات لجنة تعيين الحد الأقصى للأسعار ونسب الأرباح.

2- التقارير السنوية عن أعمال اللجنة القطرية لتحالف الحضارات خلال الفترة من 2019 إلى 2021.

3- نتائج الاجتماع (32) للجنة التعاون الزراعي لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية (يونيو 2022 – عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي).
