Doha: A Swedish film festival has made a bizarre presentation to film lovers under the coronavirus prevention measures, with organisers pledging to invite one of the film audience slot to spend seven days on a secluded island lighthouse with no other than films and views of the North Sea.

When the guest arrives on the island, he will stay at the former lighthouse keeper’s house for a week from January 30 to February 6, where he will spend time watching the festival performances, he will not be allowed to bring a mobile phone, computer, book or other distractions.
The festival’s artistic director, Jonas Holmberg, told CNN that the inspiration for the idea came from people flocking to movies to feel comfortable during the pandemic and the home quarantine period.
“We’re interested in how the relationship with films changed during those circumstances, and we wanted to explore this relationship even further in the most extreme circumstances, which is the isolation of one person on a mid-sea island for a week with only the films,” Holmberg says.
“Staying on the island will be completely safe.” “The desired individual will have a good bed and food, because this idea is not about survival.”
How is the person chosen?
The network indicates that if you are interested, you can apply online, all you need is to send an email telling them about yourself and why you care about the idea of isolated cinema, before the end of the application date on January 17, where the festival website says they already have a lot of applicants from all over the world.
As for the person to be chosen, Holmberg says they are first looking for a true lover of cinema, because the Göteborg Festival is the largest film festival on the Scandinavian peninsula, and besides the new films there will be seminars and exhibitions. Therefore, those who are chosen should be prepared to deal with all of this. “A person should also be stable and have no problem with the idea of a week in complete isolation,” Holmberg adds. A number of applicants will be interviewed before making the final decision. While the winning guest is on the island, he will be asked to record a daily video in which he talks about his experience.

بحسب تقرير لشبكة CNN الأمريكية الخميس 7 يناير- كانون الثاني 2021 فإن مهرجان غوتبورغ السينمائي السويدي يقدم من خلال اقتراحه الأخير، مستوى جديداً تماماً من التباعد الاجتماعي في ظل انتشار جائحة كورونا.
مشروع جديد
بعد الجائحة، تحوّل المهرجان السينمائي، مثل العديد من المهرجانات، إلى نسخة رقمية عبر الإنترنت، إلا أن المنظمين قرروا تقديم تجربة مختلفة تماماً لرواد المهرجان، أطلقوا عليها اسم “السينما المنعزلة” وذلك وفقا لعربي بوست؟
يشير التقرير إلى أن الضيف الذي سيتم اختياره من بين مجموعة من المتقدمين، سيسافر بالقارب إلى جزيرة باتر نوستر السويدية، التي يقول عنها جوناس هولمبرغ، المدير الفني لمهرجان غوتبورغ السينمائي، إنها “واحدة من أجمل الأماكن التي أعرفها وأكثرها دراماتيكية”.
عند وصول الضيف إلى الجزيرة، سيقيم في منزل حارس المنارة السابق لمدة أسبوع من 30 يناير- كانون الثاني إلى 6 فبراير- شباط، حيث سيقضي الوقت هناك في مشاهدة عروض المهرجان، فيما لن يُسمح له باقتناء هاتف محمول أو جهاز كمبيوتر أو كتاب أو أي عناصر تشتيت أخرى.
من جانبه، قال المدير الفني للمهرجان جوناس هولمبرغ، لشبكة CNN إن مصدر إلهام الفكرة جاء من إقبال الأشخاص على الأفلام ليشعروا بالراحة خلال الجائحة وفترة الحجر المنزلي.
يقول هولمبرغ: “إننا مهتمون بالكيفية التي تغيرت بها العلاقة مع الأفلام خلال تلك الظروف، وأردنا استكشاف هذه العلاقة بشكل أكبر في أقصى الظروف الممكنة، التي تتمثل في عزلة شخص واحد على جزيرة وسط البحر لمدة أسبوع بصحبة الأفلام فقط”.
يضيف هولمبرغ: “ستكون الإقامة في الجزيرة آمنة تماماً. سيحظى الفرد المنشود بسرير وثير وطعام جيد؛ لأن هذه الفكرة لا تتعلق بالنجاة”.
كيف يتم اختيار الشخص المنشود؟
تشير الشبكة إلى أنه إذا كنت مهتماً، يمكنك التقدم عبر الإنترنت، كل ما تحتاج إليه هو إرسال رسالة إلكترونية تخبرهم فيها عن نفسك وسبب اهتمامك بفكرة السينما المنعزلة، قبل انتهاء موعد التقديم في 17 يناير- كانون الثاني، حيث يقول موقع المهرجان إن لديهم الكثير من المتقدمين بالفعل من جميع أنحاء العالم.
وعن الشخص الذي سيتم اختياره، يقول هولمبرغ إنهم يبحثون أولاً عن شخص محب حقيقي للسينما؛ لأن مهرجان غوتبورغ هو أكبر مهرجان سينمائي في شبه الجزيرة الإسكندنافية، وإلى جانب الأفلام الجديدة سيكون هناك ندوات ومعارض. لذا، ينبغي على من يقع عليه الاختيار أن يكون مستعداً للتعامل مع كل ذلك.
يضيف هولمبرغ: “ينبغي أيضاً أن يكون الشخص مستقر ولا تكون لديه أي مشكلة في فكرة البقاء أسبوع في عزلة تامة”.
ستُجرى مقابلات مع عدد من المتقدمين قبل اتخاذ القرار النهائي. وأثناء وجود الضيف الفائز على الجزيرة سيُطلب منه تسجيل مقطع فيديو يومي يتحدث فيه عن تجربته.
