The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of Municipality and Environment and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaei issued the following statement:

At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. The cabinet affirmed the continuation of work with the procedures and precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this pandemic.

Then, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First – Approval of:

1- A draft agreement on mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

2- A draft twin city agreement between the Municipality of Doha in the State of Qatar and Nur-Sultan in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Second – Approval of a voluntary contribution to support the 2021 International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) of UNESCO.

Third – The Cabinet reviewed the results of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in the Russian Federation and took the appropriate decision.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني ، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري .

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة الدكتور/ عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز بن تركي السبيعي، وزير البلدية والبيئة والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي :

في بداية الاجتماع استمع المجلس إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) ، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء .

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي :

أولاً- الموافقة على :

1- مشروع اتفاقية حول الاعفاء المتبادل من التأشيرة لحاملي جوازات السفر الدبلوماسية والخاصة بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة المملكة الاردنية الهاشمية .

2- مشروع اتفاقية توأمة بين بلدية الدوحة في دولة قطر وحاكمية نور سلطان في جمهورية كازاخستان .

ثانياً- الموافقة على تقديم مساهمة طوعية لدعم الصندوق الدولي للتنوع الثقافي لعام 2021 التابع لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة “اليونسكو”.

ثالثاً- استعرض مجلس الوزراء نتائج منتدى سانت بطرسبورغ الاقتصادي الدولي 2021 في روسيا الاتحادية واتخذ بشأنه القرار المناسب.
