First picture of Chinese missile that raises world concerns

An Italian scientist took the first image of China’s “out of control” missile in the sky over Italy, which is expected to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere by the end of this week, but the problem is that scientists don’t know exactly when or where it will land.
“It’s like a piece of hell, this Chinese rocket is falling out of control, and it could hit anywhere in the north like New York City or far south of New Zealand, which is a huge part of the earth’s surface,” Nyu’s theoretical physicist Mikio Kaku told CNN.
“There are chances that it will land in the ocean without causing damages, but we simply don’t know where it is going to land, it is moving at 18,000 miles an hour like a glowing comet that’s going to light up the sky.”
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Friday, according to Reuters, that most of the wreckage of the Chinese missile, which has spiraled out of control and is expected to fall to an unknown location on earth, will burn when it enters the atmosphere and is highly unlikely to cause any damage.
The U.S. Space Command said this week that the rocket’s landing site toward the Earth’s atmosphere as it returned from space “can only be determined within hours of re-entry” of the atmosphere, which is expected to occur around May 8.
China’s Global Times reported on Wednesday that the missile debris was likely to fall into international waters.
U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Thursday that his country has no intention of dropping the remnants of China’s large missile at that stage.
Speaking to reporters, Austin said he hoped the missile’s remnants would fall into the ocean and that the latest estimates indicated that it would fall on Saturday or Sunday.
The Long March 5B rocket launched from China’s Hainan Island on April 29 carrying the Tianhe vehicle, which will contain what will become the living quarters of three people at a permanent Chinese space station. The launch of the vehicle was the first of 11 missions required to complete the plant.

وتابع: هناك حظوظ بأنه سيهبط في المحيط دون ضرر لكننا نحن ببساطة لا نعرف أين سيهبط، إنه ينتقل بسرعة 18 ألف ميل في الساعة مثل مذنب متوهج سيضيء السماء”.
وقال وانغ ون بين المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية اليوم الجمعة، بحسب رويترز، إن معظم حطام الصاروخ الصيني الذي خرج عن نطاق السيطرة ويُتوقع سقوطه في مكان غير معلوم على الأرض سيحترق عند دخول الغلاف الجوي ومن المستبعد بشدة أن يسبب أي ضرر.
وقالت قيادة الفضاء الأمريكية هذا الأسبوع إن موقع هبوط الصاروخ باتجاه الغلاف الجوي للأرض أثناء عودته من الفضاء “لا يمكن تحديده إلا خلال ساعات من معاودة دخوله” للغلاف الجوي وهو ما يتوقع حدوثه في الثامن من مايو أيار تقريبا.
وذكرت صحيفة جلوبال تايمز الصينية يوم الأربعاء أن حطام الصاروخ من المرجح أن يسقط في المياه الدولية.
من جانبه قال وزير الدفاع الأمريكي لويد أوستن أمس الخميس إن بلاده لا تعتزم في تلك المرحلة إسقاط بقايا الصاروخ الصيني الكبير.
وقال أوستن متحدثا للصحفيين إن الأمل أن تسقط بقايا الصاروخ في المحيط وإن أحدث التقديرات تشير إلى أنه سيسقط يوم السبت أو الأحد.
وانطلق صاروخ لونج مارش 5 بي من جزيرة هاينان الصينية في 29 أبريل نيسان حاملا مركبة تيانخه، التي تحتوي على ما سيصبح أماكن معيشة ثلاثة أفراد في محطة فضاء صينية دائمة. وكان إطلاق المركبة أول مهمة من 11 مهمة مطلوبة لإكمال المحطة.
