PSA Releases Qatar Monthly Statistics Bulleting for July 2021

Doha: The Planning and Statistics Authority has issued a new issue of the “Qatar Monthly Statistics” bulletin, which monitored the most important social and economic statistical changes that occurred in the country during the month of July.

The data monitored by the bulletin showed an increase in the total number of ships coming to the ports of Qatar and an increase in net tonnage during the month of July, at a monthly rate of 1 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively, from last June, and an annual increase of 7.6 percent and 7.1 percent over the month July 2020.

Among the most prominent changes in the month, the general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange increased by a monthly rate of 0.2 percent from last June, and the index recorded an annual increase of 14.8 percent (from July 2020), to reach 10,753 points.

The total issued cash increased annually by 4.2 percent, offset by the increase in total commercial bank deposits and total credit facilities by 8.6 percent and 12.5 percent, respectively, from July 2020.

With regard to demographic data, the bulletin showed a decrease in the total population in the country to 2.38 million people last July, from 2.75 million people in the same month last year.

July of this year witnessed a monthly decrease in the total marriage contracts and the total divorce certificates by 17.8 percent and 34.7 percent, respectively, as the total number of marriage contracts reached 346 marriage contracts, while the total number of divorce certificates reached 141 cases of divorce.

According to the bulletin, electricity consumption during the month of July amounted to about 5511.2 gigawatt-hours, recording a monthly increase of 11.5 percent, and increased by 0.7 percent on an annual basis. While the total water consumption amounted to 57705.5 thousand cubic meters during the same month, a monthly decrease of 0.02 percent, while the annual decrease amounted to 6.9 percent.

As for the banking sector, the value of the broad money supply/2/ amounted to about 610.2 billion riyals during the month of July 2021, registering an annual increase of 3.8 percent compared to July 2020, while the value of quasi-cash, which includes deposits of commercial banks, amounted to about 953.6 billion. riyals, an increase of 8.6 percent compared to the same month of 2020, when total deposits at that time amounted to about 878.1 billion riyals.

With regard to new registered vehicles, the bulletin indicated that the total number of vehicles registered during the month of July amounted to 5,440 new vehicles, with a monthly increase of 4 percent, but an annual decrease of 2.5 percent.

As for data related to traffic accidents, without counting accidents without injuries, the number of accidents reached 506 during the month of July, with a monthly decrease of 7.7 percent and an annual decrease of 7.7 percent.

Light injuries accounted for the vast majority of traffic accident cases during the same month, at 89%, followed by severe injuries with 8 percent, while the number of deaths reached 16 deaths, equivalent to only 3 percent of the total traffic accidents.

وأظهرت البيانات التي رصدتها النشرة، ارتفاعا في إجمالي السفن القادمة لموانئ قطر وارتفاع الحمولة الصافية خلال شهر يوليو الماضي، وبمعدل شهري مقداره 1 في المئة و 3.6 في المئة على التوالي عن شهر يونيو الماضي، وبزيادة سنوية قدرها 7.6 في المئة و 7.1 في المئة عن شهر يوليو 2020.

ومن أبرز التغيرات كذلك في الشهر المذكور، ارتفاع المؤشر العام لبورصة قطر بمعدل شهري قدره 0.2 في المئة عن شهر يونيو الماضي، كما سجل المؤشر ارتفاعا سنوياً بمقدار 14.8 في المئة /عن شهر يوليو 2020/، ليصل إلى 10 آلاف و753 نقطة.

وارتفع إجمالي النقد المصدر سنوياً بنسبة 4.2 في المئة، قابله ارتفاع إجمالي ودائع البنوك التجارية وإجمالي التسهيلات الائتمانية بمقدار 8.6 في المئة و12.5 في المئة على التوالي عن شهر يوليو 2020.

وفيما يتعلق بالبيانات الديمغرافية، أظهرت النشرة انخفاض إجمالي السكان في الدولة إلى 2.38 مليون نسمة في يوليو الماضي، من 2.75 مليون نسمة في الشهر المماثل من العام الماضي.

وشهد شهر يوليو من العام الجاري انخفاضاً شهرياً في إجمالي عقود الزواج وإجمالي إشهادات الطلاق بنسبة 17.8 في المئة و34.7 في المئة على التوالي، حيث بلغ إجمالي عدد عقود الزواج 346 عقد زواج، في حين بلغ إجمالي عدد إشهادات الطلاق 141 حالة طلاق.

ووفقا للنشرة، فقد بلغ استهلاك الكهرباء خلال شهر يوليو الماضي حوالي 5511.2 جيجا واط في الساعة، مسجلاً ارتفاعاً شهريا بنسبة 11.5 في المئة، كما ارتفع بنحو 0.7 في المئة على أساس سنوي.. في حين بلغ إجمالي استهلاك المياه 57705.5 ألف متر مكعب خلال الشهر نفسه، بانخفاض شهري قدره 0.02 في المئة، بينما بلغ الانخفاض السنوي 6.9 في المئة.

أما بشأن القطاع المصرفي، فقد بلغت قيمة عرض النقد الواسع /2/ حوالي 610.2 مليار ريال خلال شهر يوليو 2021، مسجلا بذلك ارتفاعاً سنوياً بلغت نسبته 3.8 في المئة مقارنة بشهر يوليو 2020، بينما بلغت قيمة شبه النقد الذي يشمل ودائع البنوك التجارية حوالي 953.6 مليار ريال بارتفاع بلغت نسبته 8.6 في المئة مقارنة بالشهر المماثل من العام 2020، حيث بلغ إجمالي الودائع حينها حوالي 878.1 مليار ريال.

وفيما يتعلق بالمركبات الجديدة المسجلة، فقد أوضحت النشرة أن مجموع المركبات المسجلة خلال شهر يوليو الماضي بلغ 5440 مركبة جديدة، بارتفاع شهري بنسبة 4 في المئة، لكنه سجل انخفاضا سنويا قدره 2.5 في المئة.

وبالنسبة للبيانات المتعلقة بقضايا الحوادث المرورية دون احتساب الحوادث بلا إصابات، فقد بلغ عددها 506 حوادث خلال شهر يوليو الماضي، بانخفاض شهري نسبته 7.7 في المئة، وسنوي قدره 7.7 في المئة.

وسجلت الإصابات الخفيفة الغالبية العظمى من قضايا الحوادث المرورية خلال الشهر ذاته بنسبة 89 في المئة، تليها الإصابات البليغة بنسبة 8 في المئة، في حين بلغ عدد الوفيات 16 حالة وفاة أي ما يعادل 3 في المئة فقط من إجمالي الحوادث المرورية.
