Doha: Manchester: Manchester United, officially announced yesterday, the signing of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, coming from Italian side Juventus, for a two-year period, with the option to extend for an additional year.
The English Premier League club announced that it had reached an agreement with Juventus to bring Ronaldo back last week, and the deal was completed after Ronaldo passed the medical examination and visa procedures.
Juventus confirmed earlier today that Ronaldo left the club after reaching an agreement with United for a transfer fee of 15 million euros, in addition to eight million euros in the form of performance-related incentives.
“After three years, 133 matches, 101 goals and five titles, Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus have separated,” Juventus said in a statement.
Juventus signed Ronaldo for 100 million euros from Real Madrid in 2018, and with the team he won the Italian League title twice and the Italian Cup once.
Ronaldo is expected to make his United debut on September 11, against Newcastle United in the Premier League after the international break.

وأعلن النادي المنافس في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم توصله لاتفاق مع يوفنتوس الإيطالي لاستعادة رونالدو الأسبوع الماضي، واكتملت الصفقة بعد اجتياز الفحص الطبي وإجراءات التأشيرة.
من جانبه ، أكد يوفنتوس في وقت سابق اليوم أن رونالدو ترك النادي بعد التوصل لاتفاق مع يونايتد لانتقاله مقابل 15 مليون يورو، إضافة إلى ثمانية ملايين يورو في صورة حوافز متعلقة بالأداء.
وقال يوفنتوس، في بيان: “بعد ثلاث سنوات و133 مباراة و101 هدف وخمسة ألقاب انفصل كريستيانو رونالدو ويوفنتوس”.
وكان يوفنتوس تعاقد مع رونالدو مقابل 100 مليون يورو من ريال مدريد في 2018، وفاز مع الفريق بلقب الدوري الإيطالي مرتين وبكأس إيطاليا مرة واحدة.
ومن المتوقع أن يخوض رونالدو مباراته الأولى مع يونايتد في 11 سبتمبر المقبل، أمام نيوكاسل يونايتد في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز بعد فترة التوقف الدولية.
