3-2-1 Qatar & Olympic Sports Museum to be featured at La Biennale di Venezia
متحف قطر الأولمبي والرياضي يشارك في بينالي البندقية للعمارة
Doha: Qatar Museums, under the patronage of its Chairperson, H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, announced yesterday that the 3-2-1 Qatar & Olympic Sports Museum will be featured in the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia through a special participation, titled “Sport Platform,” in the Central Pavilion of the Giardini della Biennale.
Conceived by principal architect Christoph Lechner of Architect Christoph Lechner and partners and coordinated by Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, the installation explores the question: How will we play sport together? It focuses on two mega sporting events — the Tokyo Olympics and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The exhibition features models of the eight football stadiums, on loan by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.
Sheikha Al Mayassa is also Chair of the Honorary Committee for The Majlis exhibition, which has made its international debut on 21 May 2021 in the wildflower gardens of the Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
The project, curated by Dr. Thierry Morel and organised by Caravane Earth foundation is one of the official collateral events of the Biennale Architettura 2021 titled How will we live together?
The unique bamboo Majlis, designed by internationally acclaimed bamboo architects Simón Vélez and Stefana Simic, is designed to be a community meeting place and a centre for vernacular architecture and traditional construction skill. Caravane Earth is an international foundation that aims to promote social, cultural and ecological transformation. Following its presentation in Venice, The Majlis exhibition will travel to Doha.
Qatar Museums is also the major donor for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. The exhibition, How will we live together? is curated by Hashim Sarkis and organized by La Biennale di Venezia.

الدوحة: تحت قيادة سعادة الشيخة المياسة بنت حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس أمناء متاحف قطر، أعلنت متاحف قطر أمس عن حضور 3-2-1 متحف قطر الأولمبي والرياضي في الدورة 17 من المعرض الدولي بينالي البندقية للعمارة بمشاركة خاصة تحت عنوان “المنصة الرياضية”، في الجناح المركزي لحدائق البينالي. ويستكشف العمل التركيبي، الذي تم تصميمه من طرف كريستوف لشنر المهندس المعماري الرئيسي في مكتب المهندس “كريستوف لشنر وشركاؤه”، وبتنسيق من متحف قطر الأولمبي والرياضي، مسألة: كيف سنلعب الرياضة سويًا؟ ويركز على فعاليتين رياضيتين كبيرتين – أولمبياد طوكيو وكأس العالم فيفا قطر 2022 – ويقدم المعرض نماذج لملاعب كرة القدم الثمانية، التي تم استعارتها من اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث.
وتترأس سعادة الشيخة المياسة اللجنة الفخرية لمعرض “المجلس”، الذي ظهر لأول مرة دوليًا في 21 مايو 2021 بحدائق الزهور البرية في دير سان جورجيو ماجوري في البندقية. ويتولى د. تييري موريل التنسيق الفني للمعرض، الذي تنظمه مؤسسة كارافان إيرث، وهو إحدى الفعاليات الجانبية الرسمية لبينالي العمارة 2021 بعنوان كيف سنعيش معًا؟ صمم المهندسان المعماريان المشهوران دوليًا سيمون فيليز وستيفانا سيميك، مجلس الخيزران الفريد، ليكون مكانًا للقاءات المجتمعية، ومركزًا للعمارة المحلية ومهارات البناء التقليدية. وكارافان ايرث هي مؤسسة دولية تهدف إلى تعزيز التحول الاجتماعي والثقافي والبيئي. وبعد عرضه في البندقية، سيسافر معرض المجلس إلى الدوحة.
وتعد متاحف قطر أيضًا الجهة المانحة الرئيسية للمعرض الدولي السابع عشر لبينالي البندقية للعمارة. وقد قيم معرض “كيف سنعيش معًا؟” فنيًا هاشم سركيس ونظمه بينالي البندقية.
وقال السيد أحمد موسى النملة الرئيس التنفيذي لمتاحف قطر: “يُشكل بينالي البندقية المنصة الرئيسية للحوار الدولي حول التوجهات الجديدة في مجال الفن، والهندسة المعمارية، والتصميم، والسينما، وغيرها من القطاعات الفنية. وانطلاقًا من الاهتمام الذي توليه متاحف قطر للتبادل الثقافي الدولي والمناظرات العالمية، يسرنا تقديم الدعم للدورة السابعة عشرة من بينالي البندقية للعمارة، ونهنئ السيد هاشم سركيس بالإنجاز الذي حققه. كما يسعدنا دعم قطاع الرياضة من خلال الافتتاح القريب لمتحف قطر الأولمبي والرياضي. وبهذه المناسبة نتقدم بالشكر للجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث على مساهمته بتوفير مجسمات ملاعب كرة القدم لبطولة فيفا كأس العالم قطر 2022، التي يتم عرضها حاليًا في الجناح المركزي بحدائق البينالي”.
