Qatar Participates in Opening of International Military Music Festival in Moscow

Moscow: State of Qatar, represented by the Police Band, took part in the opening of the International Military Music Festival, which is held in the Russian capital, Moscow, with a wide international participation.

The delegation of the State of Qatar is led by Advisor to HE the Minister of Interior Major General Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, and consists of a number of directors of departments, as well as members of the Police Band.

During the opening, Qatar Police Band, which includes 61 musicians, 18 of the silent team and 3 for carrying and guarding the flag, presented a number of military musical performances, a silent weapon show accompanying musical performance, and other distinguished performances that won the audience’s admiration.

The Band plays various musical instruments and has a great legacy of musical pieces that document the work of the police across different eras. The Band’s tunes are derived from the old Qatari heritage and the innovations of contemporary art.

This is the Police Band’s first participation in the Festival which is being held on Red Square in Moscow.

موسكو: شاركت دولة قطر، ممثلة بفرقة موسيقى الشرطة، في افتتاح مهرجان الموسيقى العسكرية العالمي المقام في العاصمة الروسية موسكو بمشاركة دولية واسعة.

ويضم وفد الدولة، الذي يترأسه اللواء عبدالله يوسف المال مستشار معالي وزير الداخلية، عددا من مديري الإدارات، إلى جانب أعضاء فرقة موسيقى الشرطة.

وخلال افتتاح المهرجان الذي يستمر حتى الخامس من سبتمبر المقبل، قدمت فرقة موسيقى الشرطة القطرية التي تضم 61 عازفا و18 من الفريق الصامت و3 لحمل وحراسة العلم، عددا من العروض الموسيقية العسكرية، وعرضا صامتا بالسلاح مصاحبا للعزف الموسيقي، وغيرها من الفقرات المتميزة التي نالت إعجاب الحضور.

وتعزف الفرقة على مختلف الآلات الموسيقية ولديها إرث كبير من المقطوعات الموسيقية التي توثق لعمل الشرطة عبر مختلف الحقب، وتستمد ألحانها من الموروث القطري القديم ومستحدثات الفن المعاصر.

وتعد هذه أول مشاركة لفرقة موسيقى الشرطة في المهرجان الذي يقام في الساحة الحمراء بالعاصمة موسكو.
