Amir greets Kuwait’s Amir on National Day

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to the Amir of the State of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, on the occasion of his country’s National Day, QNA reported.
Later in the day, the Embassy of Kuwait in Doha yesterday celebrated the 58th National Day and 28th Liberation Day Anniversary in the presence of a number of their Excellencies the Ministers, and ambassadors of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah; Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali; Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, H E Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari; Minister of Finance, H E Ali Shareef Al Emadi; Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhro; Minister of Transport and Communications, H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani; Chairman of the Planning and Statistics Authority, Dr Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabet; and Director of Department of Protocol, Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhroo attended the event which was held at The Ritz-Carlton.
“We wish Kuwait, under the leadership of the Amir H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, all the best and we came to join and share with them this happiness,” said Al Muraikhi.
In a statement given on the sidelines of the event, he added that: “Qatar and Kuwait relations are excellent and both complement each other. The coordination between us is very strong in all international issues specially Gulf issues. Qataris when they visit Kuwait feel as if they are at their home and Kuwaitis also feel the same when they visit Qatar.”
Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar, Hafeez Mohammed Al Ajmi, thanked Qataris for their participation with Kuwaiti brothers on National Day.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports participated in the national celebrations of the State of Kuwait through a number of festivities organized in Kuwait.
Souq Waqif also was hosted a number of cultural activities to celebrate Kuwait National Day under a theme of ‘Qatar-Kuwait One Nation’. A number of artistes from Kuwait and Qatar including famous singers and musicians performed in the shows held at the open theater of Souq Waqif.

قطر قيادة وشعباً تشارك الكويت أفراحها الوطنية
شهد احتفال سفارة الكويت بأعيادها الوطنية حضوراً رسمياً وشعبياً لافتاً، تأكيداً لمتانة العلاقات الأخوية بين البلدين الشقيقين. وعلى وقع أهازيج وأغانٍ شعبية تراثية، تفاعل المئات من المواطنين والمقيمين في قطر، وأبناء الكويت، مع الأجواء الاحتفالية أمس في فندق الريتز كارلتون، بمناسبة الذكرى الثامنة والخمسين لليوم الوطني لدولة الكويت، والذكرى الثامنة والعشرين للتحرير.
حضر الاحتفال سعادة الدكتور خالد بن محمد العطية نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع، وسعادة السيد علي شريف العمادي وزير المالية، وسعادة الدكتور غيث بن مبارك الكواري وزير الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية، وسعادة السيد صالح بن غانم العلي وزير الثقافة والرياضة، وسعادة السيد جاسم بن سيف السليطي وزير المواصلات والاتصالات، وسعادة السيد يوسف بن محمد العثمان فخرو وزير التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، وسعادة السيد سلطان بن سعد المريخي وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية، وسعادة السيد صالح بن محمد النابت رئيس جهاز الإحصاء والتخطيط، وسعادة السيد إبراهيم فخرو مدير المراسم بوزارة الخارجية.
كما حضر الحفل سعادة الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني رئيس رابطة رجال الأعمال القطريين، وسعادة الشيخ خليفة بن جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني رئيس غرفة قطر، والسيد محمد بن أحمد بن طوار الكواري النائب الأول لرئيس غرفة قطر.
وأكد سعادة حفيظ محمد العجمي، سفير الكويت لدى الدولة، في لقاء صحافي، أن العلاقات الثنائية بين قطر والكويت وثيقة ومتينة ومتجذرة، وتشهد تطوراً لافتاً؛ مشيراً إلى أن هناك جهوداً متواصلة شملت جميع المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية، والتعاون في المجال العسكري والأمني والتعليم والسياحة والفن. وأكد سعادته أن الكويت تكنّ كل الشكر والامتنان لدولة قطر الشقيقة على مشاركتها الاحتفالات الوطنية لدولة الكويت، سواء في الدوحة أو في الكويت، تحت شعار «الكويت.. بلادنا الكويت»؛ لافتاً إلى أن هدية دولة قطر إلى دولة الكويت وشعبها «شعب واحد» تعكس مدى تلاحم الشعوب الخليجية، وتؤكد اللحمة بين أبناء الخليج.;
