“المري” يطالب مجلس حقوق الإنسان بالأمم المتحدة التدخل عاجلا لوقف انتهاكات دول الحصار
GENEVA: Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Dr Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri has demanded President of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Vojislav Suc, for urgent intervention by the Council to end the siege violations against the State of Qatar and work to activate ways to compensate those affected by the siege and reparation for their harm.
This came during the meeting of the NHRC head in Geneva yesterday, with the UNHRC President, where the two sides discussed the repercussions of the Gulf crisis on human rights.
Dr Al Marri gave an update on the latest human rights violations resulting from the siege. He pointed out that all missions, international organisations, international human rights officials and those who stood up to these violations have conducted direct interviews with the victims of the siege, and they affirmed beyond any doubt that the arbitrary and unilateral actions of the siege countries directly affected the rights of the citizens of Qatar, residents of the country and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Al Marri expressed readiness of the NHRC to cooperate with the Human Rights Council in everything that would preserve human dignity and contribute to informing the Council about the impact of the Gulf crisis on the lives of people in the region, with documented reports and certificates since the beginning of the siege on Qatar.
طالب سعادة الدكتور علي بن صميخ المري، رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان، سعادة السيد فيجوسلاف رئيس مجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة، بضرورة التدخل العاجل من المجلس لإنهاء انتهاكات الحصار على دولة قطر والعمل على تفعيل سبل تعويض المتضررين من الحصار وجبر ضررهم.
جاء ذلك خلال اجتماع سعادة رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في جنيف اليوم، مع رئيس مجلس حقوق الإنسان حيث بحث الجانبان تداعيات الأزمة الخليجية على حقوق الإنسان.
وقدم الدكتور المري أثناء الاجتماع شرحاً حول آخر مستجدات انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان الناجمة عن الحصار، مشيرا إلى أن كافة البعثات والمنظمات الدولية والمسؤولين الدوليين في مجال حقوق الإنسان والجهات التي وقفت على تلك الانتهاكات، أجرت مقابلات مباشرة مع ضحايا الحصار، وأكدت بما لا يدع مجالاً للشك أن الإجراءات التعسفية أحادية الجانب التي تمارسها دول الحصار أثرت بشكل مباشر على حقوق مواطني دولة قطر والمقيمين على أرضها ومواطني دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
وأبدى المري استعداد اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان للتعاون مع مجلس حقوق الإنسان في كل ما من شأنه حفظ كرامة الإنسان والمساهمة في إطلاع المجلس على حقيقة تأثير الأزمة الخليجية على حياة الناس في المنطقة وذلك بالتقارير والشهادات الموثقة لديها منذ بداية الحصار على قطر.
