Anthony Fauci: Corona may turn into a ‘worse than Delta’ variant

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in America, warned that the spread of unvaccinated pandemic increases the risk of another more deadly coronavirus strain.
“There’s a belief that everyone knows about virology: the virus won’t mutate unless you allow it to reproduce,” Fauchi said, according to CNN, during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
He added: “If you allow the virus to spread freely and don’t try to stop it, sooner or later there is a possibility that you will get another mutation – I’m not saying it will – that may be more problematic than Delta. Fortunately for us, vaccines work well against Delta, especially in protecting you from severe illness.”
“If you give the virus a chance to continue to mutate, you’re leading to a security vulnerability that could get a worse variant.” This will then affect not only the unvaccinated, which will affect vaccination. This variant can evade vaccine protection.”
“Therefore, unvaccinated people should think about their health, the health of their families, but also the responsibility of society to crush this virus before it gets worse.”
Delta’s variant now accounts for more than 93% of Corona infections in the United States, according to data from the CDC. This includes several sub-strains of delta, all classified as worrying variants.
“Once the COVID-19 vaccine is fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, local companies and institutions will be more inclined to impose a recommendation (to receive) the vaccine,” said America’s chief health expert.
Fauchi noted that although he cannot predict when the vaccine will receive full approval from the Food and Drug Administration, he hopes it will be “within the next few weeks.”

وقال فاوتشي، بحسب CNN، خلال مقابلة في برنامج “لقاء الصحافة” عبر شبكة NBC إن”هناك عقيدة يعرفها الجميع في علم الفيروسات: لن يتحول الفيروس ما لم تسمح له بالتكاثر”.
وأضاف: “إذا سمحت للفيروس بالانتشار بحرية ولم تحاول إيقافه، فعاجلاً أم آجلاً هناك احتمال أن تحصل على متغير آخر – لا أقول أنه سيفعل – قد يكون أكثر إشكالية من دلتا. لحسن الحظ بالنسبة لنا، فإن اللقاحات تعمل بشكل جيد ضد دلتا، لا سيما في حمايتك من المرض الشديد”.
وأوضح: “إذا منحت الفيروس فرصة لمواصلة التغيير، فأنت تؤدي إلى ثغرة أمنية قد نحصل على متغير أسوأ. عندها سيؤثر ذلك ليس فقط على غير الملقحين، مما سيؤثر على التطعيم. هذا البديل يمكن أن يتهرب من حماية اللقاح”.
وتابع: “لذلك يجب على الأشخاص غير الملقحين التفكير في صحتهم، وصحة أسرهم، ولكن أيضًا في مسؤولية المجتمع لسحق هذا الفيروس قبل أن يصبح أسوأ”.
