Al-Attiyah looks to maintain his lead in the Spanish Rally Championship

Madrid: Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah is looking forward to winning the Isla de los Volcanes Rally title in the third round of the Spanish Rally Championship, as he will compete on the final day with the participation of 55 competitors representing Qatar, Spain and the European continent.
Al-Attiyah is participating in the rally, accompanied by his French navigator, Mathieu Baumel, in a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, as he is one of the most prominent candidates to win the title due to his great experience, but he will face intense competition from the participating drivers, especially the Spaniards who know the rally tracks well.
The total distance of the rally is 150 km, and its competition will be held in seven stages on rough and gravel roads in the border area between Spain and Morocco.
The Qatari driver wishes himself a new victory in the Spanish championship, maintaining his lead in the overall standings of the championship, which he occupies with 65 points, and only 3 points behind second-placed Antonio Suarez with 62 points, while Ivan comes in third with 50 points.
Al-Attiyah confirmed his readiness with his French navigator Matthew Baumel to participate in the third round of the Spanish championship, and his determination to provide good levels to compete for the title, noting that this round is witnessing a large participation of distinguished European drivers.
The Qatari driver stressed the strength of the championship and its exciting competitiveness, pointing out the excellence of the rally track in the presence of the southern Region of Spain bordering Morocco, and expressing his aspiration to win and maintain the top of the overall standings of the championship.

مدريد: يتطلع السائق القطري ناصر العطية لتحقيق لقب رالي “جزيرة البركان” /Isla de los Volcanes/ الجولة الثالثة من منافسات بطولة إسبانيا للراليات، عندما يخوض منافسات اليوم الختامي وسط مشاركة 55 متسابقا يمثلون قطر وإسبانيا والقارة الأوروبية .
ويشارك العطية في الرالي بصحبة ملاحه الفرنسي ماثيو بوميل على متن سيارة “فولكس فاجن بولو جي تي آي R5″، إذ يعد أحد أبرز المرشحين للفوز باللقب نظرا لما يمتلكه من خبرة كبيرة، إلا أنه سيواجه منافسة شديدة من السائقين المشاركين خاصة الإسبانيين الذين يعرفون جيدا مسارات الرالي.
وتبلغ المسافة الإجمالية للرالي 150 كلم، وتقام منافساته من سبع مراحل على طرق وعرة وحصوية في المنطقة الحدودية بين إسبانيا والمغرب.
ويمني السائق القطري النفس بتحقيق فوز جديد في البطولة الإسبانية، والمحافظة على صدارته للترتيب العام للبطولة التي يحتلها برصيد 65 نقطة، وبفارق 3 نقاط فقط عن الإسباني أنتونيو سواريز صاحب المركز الثاني برصيد 62 نقطة، بينما يأتي المتسابق إيفان في المركز الثالث برصيد 50 نقطة.
وأكد العطية جاهزيته مع ملاحه الفرنسي ماثيو بوميل للمشاركة في الجولة الثالثة من البطولة الإسبانية، وعزمه على تقديم مستويات جيدة للمنافسة على حصد اللقب، مشيرا إلى أن هذه الجولة تشهد مشاركة كبيرة من السائقين المميزين أوروبيا.
وشدد السائق القطري على قوة البطولة وتنافسيتها المثيرة، مبينا تميز مسار الرالي في ظل تواجده بمنطقة جنوب إسبانيا الحدودية مع المغرب، ومعربا عن تطلعه لتحقيق الفوز والحافظ على صدارة الترتيب العام للبطولة.
