صاحب السمو يجتمع مع قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية
Tampa: HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Commander of United States Central Command Joseph Votel held Friday a meeting at the headquarters of the command in MacDill Air Force Base.
The Commander of U.S. Central Command expressed at the outset of the meeting his thanks to HH the Emir and appreciation to the State of Qatar’s pivotal role in countering terrorism and in promoting stability in the region through Al Udeid Air Base and through the joint cooperation with the U.S. in that regard.
For his part, HH the Emir said that the strategic cooperation between the State of Qatar and the U.S. was strong and will continue to be so in all fields, governed by the joint interests of the two countries and the friendly peoples. HH the Emir added that increasing the strategic bilateral cooperation is crucial to counter-terrorism efforts and for enhancing peace and stability in the region.
The meeting also saw a review of strategic military, security, and defense ties and how to advance them. It also focused on the two countries’ counter-terrorism efforts.
The meeting was attended by a number of their excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
On the U.S. side, Deputy Commander of United States Central Command Lieutenant general Charles Brown attended the meeting along with a number of military leaders.
عقد حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، وسعادة الجنرال جوزيف فوتيل قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية اجتماعا بمقر القيادة في قاعدة ماكديل الجوية .
وفي بداية الاجتماع، رحب قائد القيادة المركزية، بسمو الأمير المفدى والوفد المرافق، معربا عن شكره لسموه وتقديره لدور دولة قطر المحوري ومشاركتها الفعّالة في مكافحة الارهاب والعمل على استقرار الأمن في المنطقة من خلال قاعدة العديد الجوية ومن خلال تعاونها المشترك مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في هذا الإطار.
من جانبه، أكد سمو الأمير المفدى أن التعاون الاستراتيجي بين دولة قطر والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قوي ومستمر في هذا المجال ، بالإضافة إلى العديد من المجالات الأخرى التي تحكمها المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الصديقين، موضحا سموه أن تعميق التعاون الاستراتيجي الثنائي عسكريا وأمنيا ضروري من أجل مكافحة الاٍرهاب ولتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وجرى خلال الاجتماع استعراض علاقات التعاون الاستراتيجية العسكرية والأمنية والدفاعية المشتركة وسبل تطويرها، بالإضافة إلى جهود البلدين المبذولة في التصدي للإرهاب ومكافحته.
حضر الاجتماع عدد من أصحاب السعادة أعضاء الوفد الرسمي المرافق لسمو الأمير.
وحضره من الجانب الأمريكي الجنرال شارل براون نائب قائد القيادة المركزية وعدد من القيادات العسكرية الأمريكية.
