Amir in Ramadan greetings with Iran president thanks for alleviating siege impacts

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani exchanged greetings with HE President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan in a telephone conversation on Thursday.

During the phone call that HH the Amir made to HE the president, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and boosting them for the good of their peoples.

In this regard, HH the Amir expressed his gratitude to HE the Iranian president for Iran’s stance towards the siege imposed on Qatar and its contribution to alleviate its economic impacts, particularly by opening its airspace and territorial waters.

In addition, HH the Amir and HE the Iranian president discussed developments at the regional and international levels and stressed the need to resolve disputes and settle conflicts between countries through dialogue and diplomatic means in order to protect regional and international security and stability.

تبادل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، التهاني مع فخامة الرئيس الدكتور حسن روحاني رئيس الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، بمناسبة حلول شهر رمضان المبارك، وذلك في اتصال هاتفي أجراه سموه معه ظهر أمس.

وجرى خلال الاتصال استعراض العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، والسبل الكفيلة بدعمها وتعزيزها لما فيه خير شعبيهما، وأعرب سمو الأمير المفدى في هذا الصدد عن شكره لفخامة الرئيس الإيراني على موقف إيران من الحصار المفروض على قطر، ومساهمتها في التخفيف من آثاره الاقتصادية، لا سيما من خلال فتحها مجالها الجوي والبحري.

كما بحث سمو الأمير وفخامة الرئيس الإيراني تطورات الأوضاع على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، وشددا على ضرورة حل الخلافات وتسوية النزاعات بين الدول عن طريق الحوار والطرق الدبلوماسية، من أجل حماية الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي.;
