Floods in Eastern Afghanistan Leave 113 Dead, 110 Missing

Kabul: The flood toll in the eastern Afghan province of Nuristan has risen to 113, while the number of injured has reached at least 70, according to local media.
Theflash flood was triggered by torrential rains in the district of Kamdesh, about 200 km northeast of Kabul.
A total of 110 people remain missing, according to a new report released on Saturday.
In addition, 173 houses have been totally destroyed, as well as ten businesses and six bridges, reports added.

كابول: ارتفعت حصيلة ضحايا الفيضانات التي اجتاحت ولاية /نورستان/ شرق أفغانستان، إلى 113 قتيلا.
وقالت مصادر محلية إن الفيضانات التي ضربت منطقة /كامديش/ التابعة للولاية، أسفرت أيضا عن إصابة 70 شخصا على الأقل بجروح، فيما لا يزال نحو 110 أشخاص في عداد المفقودين.
وأشارت تلك المصادر إلى أن الفيضانات أدت لتدمير عدد كبير من المنازل.
وكانت آخر إحصائية تشير إلى تسجيل 60 قتيلا ونحو 180 مفقودا.
