Amir gets verbal message from Algerian President

Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a verbal message from the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, pertaining to bilateral relations and ways of developing them.

The message was conveyed by Vice-Minister for National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army in Algeria Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, when H H the Amir met him and the accompanying delegation at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.

Lt. General Salah conveyed the greetings of the President to H H the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness and the State of Qatar continuous progress and prosperity.

H H the Amir entrusted the Algerian official to convey his greetings to the Algerian President, wishing him good health and wellness and the brotherly Algerian people more progress and development.

The meeting also reviewed the fraternal relations between Qatar and Algeria and means of supporting and developing them, in addition to the latest developments in the region.

تلقى حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، رسالة شفوية من أخيه فخامة الرئيس عبدالعزيز بوتفليقة رئيس الجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية الشقيقة، تتعلق بالعلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسبل تنميتها.

قام بنقل الرسالة، سعادة الفريق أحمد قايد صالح نائب وزير الدفاع الوطني رئيس أركان الجيش الشعبي بالجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية الشقيقة، خلال استقبال سمو الأمير له والوفد المرافق بمكتبه في الديوان الأميري صباح أمس.

وفي بداية المقابلة، نقل سعادة الفريق أحمد قايد صالح تحيات فخامة الرئيس عبدالعزيز بوتفليقة رئيس الجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية الشقيقة، وتمنياته لسمو الأمير موفور الصحة والسعادة، وللشعب القطري مزيداً من التقدم والرخاء، فيما حمله سمو الأمير المفدى تحياته لأخيه فخامة الرئيس الجزائري وتنمياته له وافر الصحة والعافية، وللشعب الجزائري الشقيق دوام الرفعة والتقدم. كما جرى خلال المقابلة استعراض العلاقات الأخوية بين دولة قطر والجمهورية الجزائرية، وسبل دعمها وتنميتها، إضافة إلى مستجدات الأوضاع في المنطقة.;
