Washington: US President Donald Trump issued a decision prohibiting Americans from investing in Chinese groups that the US administration accuses of supporting Beijing’s military activities.
Starting Jan. 11, the order will prohibit purchases by American investors of the securities of those companies. Transactions made to dispossess ownership in the companies will be permitted until Nov. 11, 2021.
The Trump administration has identified 31 Chinese companies accused of collaborating with the Chinese military, including airlines, shipbuilding, and construction companies.
According to the officials, it is not yet clear how many Americans or how much money are at risk from Trump’s recent decision.
The Trump administration is seeking to counter the expansion of Beijing’s economic, political, and military influence, through executive orders that limit China’s capabilities.

واشنطن: أصدر الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب،اليوم، قرارا يحظر على مواطنيه الاستثمار في مجموعات صينية تتهمها الإدارة الأمريكية بدعم النشاطات العسكرية لبكين.
وأوضح ترامب، في مرسوم، أن هذا الحظر سيسري اعتبارا من يوم 11 يناير المقبل، وسيكون أمام الأمريكيين الذين لديهم مساهمات أو مصالح مالية في مجموعات مستهدفة مهلة تمتد حتى نوفمبر 2021 من أجل التصرف فيها.
وحددت إدارة ترامب – حسب قناة الحرة الاخبارية – 31 شركة صينية، متهمة بالتعاون مع الجيش الصيني، تشمل شركات طيران وصناعة سفن وبناء، مرتبطة جميعها بالدولة.
ووفقا للمسؤولين، فليس من الواضح بعد عدد الأمريكيين أو حجم الأموال المعرضة للخطر جراء قرار ترامب الأخير.
وتسعى إدارة ترامب لمواجهة تمدد نفوذ بكين الاقتصادي والسياسي والعسكري، من خلال أوامر تنفيذية تحد من قدرات الصين.
