Mohamed al-Mudahka elected vice-president of Mind Sports Association
انتخاب القطري محمد المضاحكة نائباً لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي للألعاب الذهنية
Mohamed al-Mudahka, chairman of Qatar Chess Association, has been elected vice-president of the International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) during its general assembly meeting held on the sidelines of the World Mind Sports Games 2019 held in Hengshui, China.
More than 200 players from 49 countries took part in the tournament, which also witnessed the World Chess Championship with the participation of the top-ranked players.
Al-Mudahka, who participated in the event as a representative of the International Chess Association where he works as the executive manager for international relations, has expressed his happiness on his election and thanked the executive office of the association for electing him for such an important position.
He was recently appointed a representative of the World Chess Federation at the International Universities Championship in 2020. He pointed out that this would certainly be considered as a big gain for Qatari chess and would reflect positively on the game in the near future.
انتخب السيد محمد المضاحكة رئيس الاتحاد القطري للشطرنج، نائباً لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي للألعاب الذهنية خلال اجتماع الجمعية العمومية الذي عقد على هامش بطولة العالم للألعاب الذهنية التي احتضنتها مدينة هينغشوي في الصين، والتي شهدت أيضاً منافسات بطولة العالم للشطرنج بمشاركة نخبة المصنفين الأوائل في التصنيف الدولي.
وعبر محمد المضاحكة الذي شارك بصفته ممثلاً للاتحاد الدولي للشطرنج كونه يشغل منصب المدير التنفيذي للعلاقات الدولية في الاتحاد، عن سعادته بالثقة الكبيرة التي حظي بها من قبل المكتب التنفيذي للاتحاد الدولي للألعاب الذهنية خلال اجتماعه في الصين.. مؤكدا أن الرياضة القطرية تعودت على تسجيل حضورها في المحافل العالمية.
وكان المضاحكة قد عين مؤخراً ممثلاً للاتحاد الدولي للشطرنج في بطولة الجامعات الدولية في 2020، مؤكداً أن هذا بلا شك مكسب كبير للشطرنج القطري وسيكون له انعكاس إيجابي على اللعبة في الفترة المقبلة.
