Apple Announces Return of “End Call” Button in iOS 17

Washington: The American company Apple announced the return of the “end call” button to its original position on the iPhone application interface in the beta 7 version of the expected operating system iOS 17.

The company changed the position of the end phone call button on the iPhone for one of the previous beta versions of the iOS 17 system, which is currently being tested in preparation for its final release to users of this phone during the month of September.

Apple previously moved the “end call” button to the lower right corner, as opposed to centered in the bottom half of the screen, alone in the center of the screen below the other buttons and slightly away from them, before the company now backtracks and returns the button to its original location, but among the rest of the buttons that were all moved at the bottom of the screen.

Apple indicated that changing the position of the call end button displeased users who used to end the call by pressing in the middle of the lower side of the iPhone screen, which led to pressing other buttons by mistake when trying to end the call, which prompted the company to return the button to its usual place again.

It is expected that iPhone users will get some new features in the iOS 17 phone application, including the contact stickers feature that enables users to choose an appearance and image for them that appear when contacting other iPhones, in addition to the feature of converting voice mail into a text copy in real time, and the feature of quickly exchanging contacts via AirDrop, which Apple calls NameDrop.

The new beta 7 version of the iOS 17 system carried some changes and other minor additions to the various system applications in order to improve the user experience before the final launch of the system, and the beta versions of the iOS 17 system are usually issued at the present time to developers and some users who are members of the Apple Beta Software Program.

واشنطن: أعلنت شركة / آبل/ الأمريكية عن إعادة زر إنهاء المكالمات إلى موضعه الأصلي لواجهة تطبيق هاتف الآيفون في النسخة التجريبية السابعة من نظام التشغيل المنتظر /iOS 17/.

وكانت الشركة قد غيرت موضع زر إنهاء المكالمات الهاتفية في الآيفون لأحد الإصدارات التجريبية السابقة من نظام /iOS 17/ الذي يجري اختباره حاليا استعدادا لإطلاقه لمستخدمي هذا الهاتف بشكل نهائي خلال شهر /سبتمبر/ المقبل.

ونقلت /آبل/ سابقا زر /إنهاء المكالمة/ إلى الركن الأيمن السفلي، وذلك بدلا من الموضع التقليدي الذي كان فيه الزر وحيدا وسط الشاشة أسفل الأزرار الأخرى وبعيدا عنها قليلا، قبل أن تتراجع الشركة الآن وتعيد الزر إلى موقعه الأصلي لكن بين بقية الأزرار التي نقلت جميعها أسفل الشاشة.

وأشارت /آبل/ إلى أن تغيير موضع زر إنهاء المكالمات أثار استياء المستخدمين الذين اعتادوا إنهاء المكالمة بالضغط في منتصف الجهة السفلى لشاشة آيفون، مما أدى إلى الضغط على أزرار أخرى بالخطأ عند محاولة إنهاء المكالمة، الأمر الذي دفع الشركة إلى إعادة الزر إلى مكانه المعتاد مجددا.

ومن المتوقع أن مستخدمي هواتف آيفون سيحصلون على بعض الميزات الجديدة في تطبيق الهاتف لنظام /iOS 17/ ومنها ميزة ملصقات جهات الاتصال التي تمكن المستخدمين من اختيار مظهر وصورة لهم تظهر عند الاتصال بهواتف آيفون الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى ميزة تحويل البريد الصوتي إلى نسخة نصية في الوقت الفعلي، وميزة تبادل جهات الاتصال سريعا عبر /AirDrop/ التي تطلق عليها آبل اسم /NameDrop/.

الجدير بالذكر أن النسخة التجريبية السابعة الجديدة من نظام /iOS 17/ حملت بعض التغييرات والإضافات الأخرى البسيطة في تطبيقات النظام المختلفة من أجل تحسين تجربة المستخدم قبل الإطلاق النهائي للنظام، وعادة ما تصدر النسخ التجريبية للنظام /iOS 17/ في الوقت الحالي للمطورين وبعض المستخدمين من مشتركي برنامج /آبل/ التجريبي.
